"Double Weapons"

Where the "double" weapons (Double Saber, Stag,and Twin and the S-rank version) ever usefull? I never got to use one so I'd never know.

Note: I know that the Double Saber, Stag and Twin suck in Ultimate mode, so please make sure your answer to those are based from experience using them in V.1. For S-rank twin feedback you could post either V1. or V.2 experience.

Actually, my friend did pretty well in Ultimate Forest with a Stag Cutlery and the stat spells because of the HUmar's fighting style: get right up next to the enemy and do a full combo. Right at the end, the HUmar steps back, allowing the enemy's attack to sail right into the gap between them (assuming they're... that... advanced Booma thing). Repeat until monster dead. ^_^

Must have been a 120% Native Stag Cutlery with 60% hit. Cause normally v1 weapons would miss more often than hit in Ultimate

V1 weapons hit in ultimate if you're a ranger.

with my old humar it did bad with a stag. i think it was because it didnt have any %. it only had 5% to native

As for usefulness? depends on your style.

Personally I love doublesabers. I had a doublesaber and stag cutlery in v.1, and I was crushed when they were both essentially useless in v2. I thought I'd have to wait for the doublecannon, since the monkey king bar and meteor cudgel just didn't do it for me.

Fortunately, I tried challenge mode, and snagged an s-rank twinsaber.

It's too bad, but without percentages, NO weapon is really of any use once you get to mines/ruins, unlkess you're a very high level and have a hideous amount of strength. At lvl 113, my s-rank just doesn't cut it in ruins. Maybe when I get stronger.S-ranks are nice though, in that they regenerate your health and TP over time (Even in town!).

But I've always preferred doublesabers. Against any sort of enemy you can stagger they're deadly because they hit so fast and so often, and retarget easily so you end up whapping a bunch of enemies. They also don't have that annoying pause in the third combo like daggers do (Which leads me to stick with 2-hit combos on daggers, usually). The step back also usually gets you out of the way of the counterstrike.

I wouldn't recommend them for battle mode, as the first hit will knock down another player, wasting the rest of the combo.

So, does anyone know when the doublecannon will be made available? I've got the lavis blades, just need a quest to put 'em together. Or is this gonna be another Egg Blaster?

i remember when the holy grail in ver1 was to have a doublesaber =)
my first s-rank wep was the twin and i never did get the needle oh well
it would be cool to have double delbusters saber with lightning strikes every hit =)

Double Sabers are good on crows like someone said already- because if your by yourself and arent strong enough you will have to back up alot and get enough room to swing all 3X's and make sure not to use that POWER swing too much or you will get hit alot!

I used a RAcast..

The S rank twin was quite good, but there were faster/stronger weapons is all.

In Forest and Caves it was great, cos you could use all heavy attack, plough into a mob of baddies, and like someone mentioned, a male would step back nicely and dodge the counterswipe.

In mines it was pathetic against them dam chics, and in Ruins it would need a HUcast to have any decent speed in battle, I reckon.

As far as double weapons go Twin Brand was great in V.Hard Forest, 5% Native and it still ripped through everything my HUcast encountered. I would assume that a S-Rank would be good in Mines/Ruins if you have the ATP to make it worth while (1500[Mag+Base ATP]+Shifta+Weapon???)

The only v.1 weapon that makes any hits in ultimate mode is the dragon slayer... I've been reading about double weaponry & have fallen in love with double weaponry, i'm a l68 skyly HUmar on ult & was wondering where 2 get these pts:-

1) Lavis Blades
2) Joining Pts
3) Double Sabers

PErsonally, For some reason I've always liked Daggers more than Doubles. Even though doubles are supserior (crowd control). Has anyone seen the new wep video in the media page? In it you see a HUcaseal wielding to saber-type weps (one in each hand). I wonder if this is a new class in weaponry? I also saw what only be described as a "Throwing Knife" weapon. New Classes of weapons for EpI&II? Hopefully, Yes.
