I just got into the final fantasy stuff and i beat X a few weeks ago. I was so dissapointed on how easy the final boss was(Jecht), i was able to kill him in 3 hits. So to ease my thirst for a challenge i bought the hyped Kingdom Hearts. After being pissed off at how easy and boring this game was, i pawned it at my local pawn store and i mowed my neighbors lawns and got enough money to buy Final Fantasy X-2 and once again i was ripped off.

First of all, when i play this game I feel like i'm playing Charlies Angels. Its so fake and yuna reminds me of one of those nerdy girls that try to fit in with the cheerleaders, she is so not herself but i still like her. Rikku has turned into super whore and just look like a crack addict hoboe. Paine is alright but she says "hurt" to much. I was also dissapointed on how Brother acts like in this game. I think the producers and story writers of this game tried to ease the depression that everyone had of Tidus' death or vanishing. Also, the script writers for the three protagonist seem like they are a bunch of guys that think they know how girls act because some of the things Yuna and Rikku say sound stupid.

This game is fun and has eased my challenge thirst a little bit but i feel ripped off from what square-enix did to this game. I only really enjoyed myself when Yuna would visit old people from X. The music in this game SUCKS, it sounds like when Flash Dance meets disco along with elvis. I'm so tempted to turn my volume down and listen to my own music but i don't want to miss out on the voiced dialouge.

When i popped in the cd and saw how it camed on i thought it was going to be a good game but as soon as i saw yuna singing, i knew something wasn't right.
But I have questions.........
1.Was Paine abused when she was little or something or did something tragic happened to her?
2.How long is this game?
3.When is the main bad guy going to show up?
4.In which chapter does this game really get serious?
5.If anyone have watched an anime called Maison Ikkoku, Does the voice actor of Yotsuya(from the english translated Maison Ikkoku) does the voice of the skinny guy with guns that hangs around with Leblanc.
6.For some reason Wakka's voice doesn't sound the same and has his voice actor changed?

That's why you should screw Final Fantasy X-2, and go get Tales of Symphonia. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_yes.gif

Have you tried FF7 or FF8? Although neither really offers up too much, challenge wise.

2.How long is this game?

20 hours worth of cutscenes. 1 hour worth of actual playtime.

HAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHA....no....i clocked 118 hours and still no 100%. So not 1 hour of play time.

I liked the game play in it but the cutesyness never stopped. Reason I played for that long.

I guess the concept of renting a game before buying is way too alien for some. Seriously, if you have had this much bad luck in buying games, might as well just rent them. Play them, bitch at them, and then return them. Easy, no?

I have to say that I loved FF X-2 and was totally in love with Yuna and the song 1000 words [ah... sniff, beautiful]

To me it was a welcome change of pace and was very similar in gameplay to that of FF5 and FF6 [also a little like Tactics].

Anyway I got my 100% [please, please no more applause] and have unlocked [and earned] all the missing cut scenes that make the story complete.

I'm praying for a FF X-3 to finish this trilogy but i won't hold my breath.

It's actually Kimari that is played by a different actor this time [The chap that does Waka as a matter of fact http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif]

I think the reason Wakka sounds different is becuase he gained some weight after marrying Lulu. I don't know how much.

heh, heh, you see we only have blockbuster where we live at and due to ummm...certain fees..i can't rent anything. I really do wish i can get another card because it so hard buying games based on reviews online.I think i'm gonna get tales of symphonia since everyone is talking about it and if that game sucks then i deserve to be ripped off.

Well, I noticed too that from FF VII (and possibly before that. Not finished those yet) the main story in a straight line to the end is sort of easy. Although the finale on FF VII totaly rewlz, it still can't be called hard.
A totaly different matter are the side-stories. Try playing FF X again and go take out the Dark Aeons. Or try to get capture a full set of monsters. The final creation you get from that is a total killer....
The FF games aren't made for hard-core speed-throughs. They're made for lingering about, absorbing the atmosphere and doing a lot of sight-seeing. If you don't like that, you'll never be a FF-fan.

And for answers to the first 4 of your questions: Play the bloody game to the end and take some side-stories. Listen to what the NPCs say. You'll get all of'em...

The US and origional JP versions of FFX don't have the Dark Aeons (they are PAL only).

Capturing 10 of each monster, and defeating all the created bosses is a good challenge (personally, I'm down to 4 if you don't count Nemises, these things are tough).

Also, try to max your stats, and unlock/unseal every "superweapon" (or customize your own {The Double/Triple AP on them is uneccessary}, I made a copy of Lulu's since dodging 200 lighting bolts is insanely tough; I did get 100+ dodges though {maybe one day I'll have the Onion Knight unsealed}).

Edit: I'm currently at 180 hours. Much of this has been at the monster arena.
