All the men on my mom side of the family have beer belly's and last year i could see my belly starting to form into a beer belly and i was getting a bit chubby. On the last day of school i told my freinds that i'm gonna go on a diet and start working out. All this summer for the past 5 months i have not ate any red meat, pork or any fast foods and i go to the gym and work out for about 2 to 3 hours a day.

I told my freinds, Roldan, Daniel, and Te'airra how i looked and we all decided to go to the water park so i can show off my new toned self. Now Daniel is average size and Te'airra is ok too but Roldan is a bit big. Anyways we went to the water park and got in are swimming trunks(Te'airra wore a 2 piece http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif). I got into my trunks in the bathroom and told them to wait outside. I came out and Daniel and Te'airra were clapping and they congragulated me but Roldan was frowned up. I asked him what was wrong and he said "Its not all what i was expecting". I ignored him and we started swimming and talking and eating and let me tell you all the sarcastic remarks this guy said.

"I don't think to many girls would be attractive to him"
"I can still see your belly sticking out"
"Your getting a bit chubby"
"I don't see why everyones so happy about you, you still look the same to me"
"Am i splashing to much on the star of the water park"
"I don't find anything wrong with my size"
"Why don't you stop doing this diet, going to that gym to much can kill you"

Also, for some odd reason, while we were at the water park roldan was always trying to compete with me in competitions. He would come up to me and say "Lets race to that wall, i bet you i'll win" or he would challenge me to other competitions like who can hold their breath underwater the longest or who could swim to this side the fastest etc. I purposely lost to each of his challenges but in each of his challenges he would never challenge Te'airra or Daniel, he would only challenge me.

I didn't care about what he said, due to the fact that i got a chance to eat a big mac for the first time in 5 months http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif. I don't care about all those negative comments he made, he just don't know that all those comments just make me want to exercise and eat right even more.

well thats not exactly true, but red meat= lots of protein. what are you eating instead?

Firstly, congrats on your weight loss. But don't totally skip out on red meat, you need protein for your growing body. Eat some tofu or soy something.

Yeah, it sounds strangely like a sitcom. O_o Chubby friend slims down, chubbier friend gets depressed, and says mean things and does lots of challenges. I ate only chicken, fish and turkey. I don't even want to see a chicken,fish and turkey until a long time. I ate so much of it. I'm gonna start eating pork and red meat about once a week. I think that'll be safe.

any ways, if it were me, I'd probably do the wrong thing and tell him it's not my fault your (meaning him) to lazy to get off your fat lazy ass and go on a diet with some exercize.

However, that may give unwanted results. So instead, I say you just ignore the little punk, and slowly and calmly lose your friendship with him. And yes I'm serious, even if this may sound harsh or ignorant or whatever. If someone does something once, they are prone to do it again. So if he's jealous and tries to annoying be better than you when he's not, chances are he might do it again when you become better at something else. But, meh, who am I to give advice on friendships.

Oddly enough, some of your "corrections" are unnecessary or downright wrong, and you made some errors of omission, trypticon. I can't help but wonder what the purpose of this exercise was, considering the fact that Infinity's post is much more legible and comprehensible than most.

On topic: Kudos for having the self-control to change something about yourself with which you were dissatisfied. Yea i... i dont eat. Im small and skinny... i could eat 2 big macs and want more. i CANT gain wait. Im 85 pounds of midget. Im not even 5 ft yet.. still.. 4'11. Im only 13 ok? And probably not gonna grow for another year. Im mocked by everyone about my size. I just cant see myself as fat or even a bit chubby. I have a REALLY fast metabolism.... Never knew what its like being over weight... while im basically 15 or 20 pounds underweight.... But if people are jealous of you losing weight while their still a fat ass and tries to make them look better than you.. its just stupid. Congrats on your new self. I'm on a wicked diet at the minute cause I'm off to Austrailia at the end of the year and I want a nice 6-pack to go strolling down the beach with.

Don't worry about the red meat as long as you are still getting your protein. White meat and fish are excellent sources for that and Tuna Steaks are simply devine. Red meat is usually used for building muscles, so beware.

And as for your friend, it's the green eyed monster fella, nothing more.
