For all those who didn't take Chemistry, or who are retards ( http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif ),

Sb = Antimony.

They are one, the same thing, equal. Antimony is the element, Sb is the symbol for the element.

Any further questions?

No, just incredibly annoying when people ask what Sb is. Thought I'd get it out of my system.

So I take it, you tell people your name is 'Sb' and they go, "wtf? who are you? what's sb?".

I'll remember that as I am talking chemisty this year.

I just got a degree in chemistry (at manchester Uk in fact) and I didnt know that. Maybe I should have payed more attention http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I assume its one of the shit (all at act the same when react elements later on in the periodic table) ones. I'll go look it up.

What if no one cares enough to actually know that to begin with?

ouch...

but anyways maybe you shouldn't have picked this name to begin with and no annoying things might happen http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_yes.gif

Whether you care enough to know or not, at least me posting here will ensure that people will know. Anyway, one can never have enough common knowledge. In my second year of High School we were made to learn the first 20 elements of the periodic table off by heart, and I still don't regret it, because believe it or not, these things pop up every now and again.

Please forgive me for ranting in the rants section.

You're reading into what I said too much.

It's fine that you're ranting, and what you're ranting about, my comment is merely going towards your wacko'd remark about being a retard if you don't know.

I sure as hell did'nt know that about your name, nor would I have ever thought it anything close to that. And yeah I was made memorize I forget how much of the periodic table, which was quickly discharged because, as I said, what if someone doesn't care to remember it? =]

And yeah, you're pardoned for ranting. Don't do it again.

No offense but, I quite honestly don't care what you name means. Do you have trouble with this or something? Are people often confused by your name?

http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif Thank you http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Ness, it's not so much whether you care what it means or not, it's just that sometimes I would tell people when I call myself Sb (specifically in pso, to change my ID) that I am, in fact, Antimony, and then I come back online and they ignore my because a day later they've forgotten who I am. A skewed rant really; in fact, not so much really a rant about stated earlier, but half about people's forgetfulness >_>
