my guess would any of these

1. your family or somone in it is being bitchy
2. someone died, or you just lost some one (like a move or something)
3. you had a breakup
4. your classes are a pain in the ass (I forgot what they were, i know you told me in a PM, but that one is gone now)
5. any combination of the above

it's his choice to answer, and it's his choice to not answer and let us draw possible but also possibly wrong conclusions that can lead to unwanted actions. I'm not really sure if any of what i guessed right, it's just some of the top things people seem to get p.issed about.
