I'm becoming very tempted to Import. I just want to know who's importing first and how they plan to get online with the jap version.
A Year ago i managed to play PSO ver 2 online from here in the States. I would not mind doing it again.

Well, you can order I here: http://www.ncsx.com The bundle with modem is at 90$ the game itself is 60$. A modded GC is at 205$. I'm getting the modded GC and the game only because I'm going to wait for the Broadband adapter. I suggest importing though. I want to because maybe Sonic Team will do the same thing with the quests again @_@; I really hope they don't though, it'd be unfair, also, just the thrill of getting it two months before makes me happy >___< I'll get online with it with my BBA when it comes and as for signing up and getting online with it, you can bet that Mamak and/or Ahking's site will have a guide to do so http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif So no problems in importing haha~ By the way, the keyboard/controller is at 60$ @___@ That's something I preffer getting when it comes to the US... http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

After putting some thought into it. I too shall be importing. First off I'll need to modify the GC. That'll cost me 39.99 (shipping uncluded) Then i need to buy PSO (the package with out the Modem.I'm assuming i wont be playing online much since i wont have the modem so the Keyboard would be useless.
Does anyone know when the BBA is going to be released?

I'm with Rubesahl. I'm importing (got mine preordered), but will wait for the BBA.
It's not that I want to be one of the first to play the game, but just that it's blatantly obvious that ST caters to Japanese gamers.

Well i want to import but i have a few questions maybe someone can answer. I dont have a Gamecube, but i dont want to buy a modded one for anything more than 200$...I cant play online unless there is a anyway i can use my Cable Internet with the Gamecube, and i want a keyboard.. AND i want it to be in English!...So is ther anyway i can get a BBA, Keyboard, modded GC or Boot disk? thnx

If you're unsure just wait a week until a few here have imported and ask them specific questions. I'll try and answer the ones I know:
Modded GC: Cheapest I could find is $185 from http://www.Lan-Kwei.com which comes with a stepdown and a lead. They're based in Hong Kong but are the cheapest and it'll probably round up to $200 with shipping. Im not based in the US so I'm not 100% sure though about shipping overseas and how it works there.
Cable Internet: I'm not sure, I'll be on 56K and haven't looked much further than this.
Keyboard: You can buy the game with and without a keyboard as part of a bundle.
Language: The Japanese version of DC V1 and V2 both had options to change the language to English. I see no reason this won't be the case in EI & II.
Boot disk: There's one announced for release in Europe - though it isn't out and I heard it's been delayed.

I will most likely be importing. If they dont come out with a BBA in time i can use my dads ISP until they do. Keewl and i found this on that one site someone was talking about earlier

I've posted this on two other topics. The keyboard is in english and japanese characters. The english letter is on the key, but the japanese character is right udner it(this is both on the same key) pretty koo eh. And I'm an Importer. I imported V2 on DC. The names Heero. You guys might have known me, or my close friends on PSO Owen, and Chen Zhen. And yes, I'm importing the japanese Episode 1&2. Luckyly, I can read japanese, so I won't have to wait for mamak to get it up. I pre-ordered my bundle from ncsx.com, 2nd day air shipping. hehe, see ya later. Living in the UK means new games will cost 40UKpounds - 45UKpounds (third party GC ones will). I order PSO EI & II from http://www.dvdboxoffice.com and get free delivery and pay around 33UKpounds and don't pay import duty because it comes through France. I get it so cheap because the exchange rate from Canadian dollar to UKpound is so good.

Well dude if you were here for Version 2 then you would understand...We were told a early sumer release for Ver 2 on DC, then a late summer release, then... when did it come out? like November?? I dont remember i was playing EQ by then... But You gotta think, if its coming out October for US, dont you think they would push i back AT least 2 months so that maybe they will get more sells due to Christmas?? I highyl dobt they wont pish back the release date. Also, when people started importing Ver 2 they were already making hacks for it... So i am getting GC PSO imported for 2 reasons
1) at least a months without hacks-Deadly ones anyway
2)And a definete Release date.

Maybe he feels a bit of envy towards those who are, and hence feels the need to enter the topic.
When the game was first announced plenty of people said they'd import and someone made a topic about "WHY YOU SHOULD NOT IMPORT GC PSO!", which wasn't suprising seeing as everyone was saying they'd do it and he wasn't.

Truth be known, until about 3 days ago I was going to wait for the domestic release. But after seeing all the media and talking about PSO again. I simply cann't wait I must get it on August 8th. (with the cool Transparent BOX!)
