This story isn't written by me, but by my friend (Oh yeah, fun times. What? Never mind.), he has a username here, but he couldn't be bothered to post it ^_- (GazL_Neon).
This story takes place before my Tower fic, but since my Tower fic was so poorly written, I think I'm gonna rewrite that one (Along with the 5 other Fic ideas @_@)
Anyways, done with all my babbling,

Clouds?white clouds. There were always white clouds against a blue sky around the outer areas of the Lupis Silva Forest region. Not like the inner areas, where it perpetually rained.
A lone Hunter casually sat on top of a gate, swinging his legs beneath him in a carefree fashion. Not too far off in the distance, he could see a group of Tollaws, three or four maybe. Next to the Hunter lay a sword - a large, dark red sword. The Hunter slowly got up from his seating position, gripping the hilt of the bladed weapon in his left hand. He lifted his head, so as to bring the Tollaws into his direct line of sight?
??Die, Native scum!!?
The Tollaws suddenly turned to the direction from which the shout had emanated. However, there was nothing but the unopened gate. The Tollaws looked around, unaware of the Hunter?s blade about to crash down upon them from above.
?K-ya!? The broad edge of the sword sliced straight through each of the Tollaws in a single action, leaving them lying on the floor, still twitching. ??Boring!? The Hunter reattached his weapon to the holding in his armour across his back and brushed the hair from in front of his eyes. There came a beeping sound from the Hunter?s BEE. He checked the message?
?Come back to the HQ immediately - we have a high-priority mission for you.?
?I never get high-priority missions?this must be good!? The Hunter lifted his right hand into the air before throwing it downwards, creating a flash of red light. He had left the area?
In a poorly lit room, a man sat behind a desk, with two figures stood behind him. From the other end of the room, behind the door, a few gasps could be heard from some of the personnel working in the main work area.
?Heheheh. He?s here?? The doors slid open to reveal a Hunter - the same Hunter that had been in Lupis Silva earlier. He step forward into the room, the doors closing behind him, preventing the curious onlookers from staring at the long-haired HUmar any further. ?I didn?t think you could get here this quickly?I?m impressed.?
The HUmar stood a few feet away from the desk. ?Don?t be. I can do much more? I?m not like other Hunters?!?
The mysterious man smiled to himself. ?I know, that?s I?ve appointed this mission to you.? He slumped back in his chair.
?Really??? The HUmar walked up and leaned on the desk with both hands. ?What makes this mission so special? Why couldn?t you just send your?well, cronies?? He looked up at the two figures stood behind the man sat down. They seemed to shuffle on the spot, as if agitated by the HUmar?s comment. The HUmar smiled slyly to himself.
?Well?? the seated man sat up again. ?This is pretty much a basic Item Recovery Mission. However, this weapon isn?t your ordinary kind of weapon??
The HUmar leaned closer. ?Go on??
?As I said, this weapon isn?t a regular weapon. It?s an experimental weapon in its very early stages of development. It?s a prototype handgun that requires extreme skill in order to use. We don?t know the name of it, or even what it looks like. However, we do know where it is. It?s in-? The HUmar took a step back.
?The Control Tower?? The look on the Hunter?s face seemed to belie a certain amount of surprise, although he had a feeling this was coming.
?Exactly.? The mysterious man continued. ?We know all about your past, so we believe you may have an easier time of finding this weapon than any of us. So, we want you to go to the Control Tower, find the weapon and bring it back to us. Yes??
The HUmar took a few seconds before replying with an answer. ?Hmm?sure. I?ll take.?
?There?s just one other thing?you won?t be working alone for this mission.?
The HUmar glared at the man as he said this. ?What??! I don?t do teamwork!!?
The man laughed out loud. ?Sorry, but this is for your own protection. I know what the Control Tower means for you, and I don?t wan-? The man was suddenly interrupted by the HUmar?s fist slamming down hard on the desk.
?MY protection?! You?re the one that?s going to need protection when the time approaches!!?
A short, loud buzz sound came from the right of the HUmar?s head, as a bright red light illuminated his face - along with the Pallaschs wielder?s. ?Hmph! Wrong move, HUcaseal?!!? The HUmar swung his left leg underneath the HUcaseal, felling her to the floor, whilst in the same movement releasing a set of claws from a small box attached to his right arm and holding them towards the HUcaseal?s neck.
There was complete silence until the man behind the desk began to clap. ?Hah. It?s good to see you using the new beta-test weapon we gave you recently. Even if it is against my personal?? He stood up and looked at the floored HUcaseal before sitting down again a few seconds later. ?Let her up??
??Whatever.? The HUmar retracted his clawed hand and stepped back from the HUcaseal. She pushed herself back onto her feet and returned to her position behind the man behind the desk, staring down the HUmar all the time.
?Now then, let me introduce your new partner?? He pressed a button on the intercom. ?You can send her in now.?
The doors slid open once more. The HUmar stood facing away from it. He could hear the doors close again.
?What? Why?s it so dark in here?! Haaa!? All of a sudden, the lights came on, fazing the other people in the room.
?Bah! There was no need to do that?!? The man sitting down moved his hand away from his face. ?Now, come stand next to your new partner?!?
The new Hunter walked forward until she was stood next to the HUmar. ?Why are the light switches so high up, anyways?? Huh?!?
The HUmar looked to his left. Then to his right. Then, whilst still looking right, looked downwards. There, he found his new partner. ?Er?? He pointed down at his new Hunter partner with his left hand. ??Her?!?
The man laughed. ?Yes?is there a problem??
?Yes, yes there is. I mean?? The HUmar looked down again. ??Look at her! She?s about three years old or something!!?
?HEY!!!? The small HUnewearl looked up at the HUmar. ?I find that offensive!!?
?Hmph! I find being given a small child as a partner offensive?!?
?Oi!!? The HUnewearl punched the HUmar in the leg. ?SHUT. UP.?
The HUmar scratched his chin. ?Hmm?well, well, maybe you do have what it takes to be a Hunter. That actually stung a bit!? He looked back towards the man behind the desk. ?But I?m not having her as my partner??
?Gah!!? The small HUnewearl continued the shout random noise.
?I?m sorry, but she will be your new partner and that?s final. Now get out of here; she?s driving me insane!?
The two Hunters walked out the room together. Other personnel looked one in surprise. The two walked down a corridor towards the teleporter.
??I don?t like you.? The HUmar continued looking directly ahead of him.
?I don?t care!! I think you?re a moron anyways!!? The HUnewearl swung her fist at the HUmar?s arm, but missed.
?Stop that! Damn kids??
?I AM NOT A KID!!!?
A door on the corridor opened. ?Can you please keep it down, we have an important experiment going on in here and we need silence?!?
The HUmar sighed. ?Is this what the entire mission is going to be like??
?Pretty much,? the HUnewearl replied, ?unless you want to apologise.?
The HUmar laughed and shook his head. ?I doubt it.?
?Bah!! Kirin is mad now!!?
?Who?s Kirin, then??
?That?s me, moron!!?
??So be it. Just stop annoying me, OK??
?Noooooooooooo!!? Kirin pushed the HUmar into the wall. ?Well???
The HUmar grabbed his face. ?Well what?!?
Kirin glared at her new partner. ?What?s your name??
??? The HUmar paused. ??You can call me ?Gaz?.?
?Gaz? What kind of name is that?! That?s a moron?s name!!?
?Ok, call me Philip if you really must?!!? Gaz pushed Kirin away from him.
??Ok, I?ll call you Gaz.? The two reached the end of the corridor and stepped into the teleporter from the Control Tower.
?Philip?? What kind of name is Philip?!?
?Quit talking already?!?
The teleporter door closed?
EDIT: Gah, I jsut realised all the quotations have changed into question marks. I'll need to fix that soon... since there's a lot of commentary @_@
