Hi! Uhm, I'm working on a few books based on Phantasy Star Online and I suppose I'll post a few chapters every now and then if I have time to work on it it. This is just the Prelude, there is much more to be written. I hope you all will enjoy my book and please post your comments if you don't mind ^_^

Prelude
A young female human senses a looming danger in the darkness of a newly discovered facility. The source of the malicious feeling originates from a region of Planet Ragol cut off and hidden from its surface and any travel bys. She decides to investigate her instincts. With the permission of the Principal (otherwise known as her father), she sets out on a solitary mission to scope out the highly confidential dungeon come to be known as "Ruin".
"Be careful out there! We have no intention of losing anymore good soldiers on these unknown excavations!" ordered the Principal.
"Sure thing dad," replied the receiver from the communicator, "I can handle a few monsters if any decide to be a nuisance."
Exhausted from her constant lectures about how to do her job, the young woman sets out on her study of the mysterious dungeon. An extremely peculiar note is taken of the walls which appear to be completely composed of organic material. Each strand seems to lead in one direction...to something still lurking in the darkness...
"Emergency! Excavation groups are being attacked by an unknown force! Our soldiers are being completely wiped out by what appears to be a Dark creature with a sword and shield!"
"What is your location?" inquired Rico, "Excavation groups! Reply!"
Static interference greatly disrupts communication. Most of the transmissions are not understandable. It is a few minutes before another message is intercepted.
"We cannot damage the creatures! We are now being ambushed by 4 of the monsters...we cannot make out their location. They have an incredible ability to block all of our attacks and disappear without notice!"
"Excavation! What is your location!? Reply at once!" demanded Rico in her now blind trauma.
Another few minutes passes before another message is attempted, but is now in spurts of coughs and apparent fatigue.
"No one is left alive. I...am the only one not mortared by these ferocious beings..highly recommended that anyone in this facility evacuate immediately..I cant be sure how long I can..AHHHH!
Mixtures of high frequency sounds can only be heard in the background..sounds that are much too familiar to Rico's experience in the job, the sounds of techniques available to only the most skilled of Forces, grants and megid.
"Are the teams being attacked by both monsters and Hunters?" inferred Rico.
"Rico? This is the Principal. Return to Pioneer 2 at once. This mission is much too hazardous without further investigation!" ordered her father.
"And how do you expect to investigate? In order to that you'll have to send more people. This is my field of expertise and I will do what I am trained to do. Rico out."
Immediately after the stressful and short conversation, a feeling of unawareness comes to her attention. In a blink of an eye, she's flung into the wall. After regaining her senses from the fading shock, she notices the enemy. Once again she is forced into the wall, causing it to burst from the power of the blow. Again and again she is pummeled by punches.
"Damn you..I swear..I'm gonna..kill..you!"
After beginning her assault, she realizes they weren't punches at all. Instead, they were projectile arms from a bulky blue machine of some sort. Without end it fires on her, leaving her no choice but to dodge and stall. Eventually she manages to find a way around it. Fortunately it has horrible turning speed so she has many chances to slash at it with her Red weapons. After many attempts, it finally gives out and is engulfed in a cloud of black dust...disappearing without a trace.
"You've gotta be kidding me if they couldn't handle that.." complained Rico.
Without warning, a mass crowd of malevolent monsters appear around her, each equipped with a saber and shield, each emitting a purple flare. She counts four but has no time to react before they slaughter her in a mass of attacks.
"I..shall not be..." heaved Rico before her world faded into darkness.
"This girl...she possesses a powerful body. I shall use it to bring forth my spirit into whole again...then I shall destroy all that have opposed me and send them to the pits of eternal rest"
