Calling all rockers! No one has humoured me yet, so I'll ask again. Name the band that wrote the song depicted by my mood. Come on, it's not that hard. Maybe I'm dealing with some really deprived people. Stupid MTV kids.

Pink Floyd.

Listen to music from your own lifespan, dude. Doesn't have to be MTV, by the way.

Which is fine. But lots of people find it more important to listen to unknown or old music than actual music they like.

It's a college thing, mostly, but it begins in high school.

My mood represents a song. What band performs this song? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Hint: There's a subtitle thingy in parenthesis after the title, but I couldn't fit it in. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

Comfortably numb was just a little too easy >_>

A while back I was randomly quoting lines from it and it took the average person in here a while to catch on.

Listen to music from your own lifespan, dude.

But that deprives you of so much goodness. I dunno, people who live for the "cutting edge" fad music tick me off.

Actually, I'm more of a new-rock guy than classic (much to my guitar-playing friends' chagrin). I only listen to one radio station, and it's new rock (well, they say that but classic and 80's stuff sneaks in) But I like a change of pace every now and then, so bring on the Led Zep and AC-DC.

I'm definitely not indie. I'm not a big fan of the way the music industry works, but I don't want to listen to music that sucks to get back at it. Most of the stuff I listen to is pretty mainstream. I've had a freind explain it to me this way: indie people like bands no one has heard of. Once someone else knows they exist, they find a more obscure band. So, in their eyes, the best band is one that doesn't exist. Craziness.

Only the "nerds" and "geeks" lisen to rock and such in my area. Everyone else is into rap and hip-hop and such.

Some people like the older music more, some like the newer music. Why should I listen to stuff I don't like just because it is by a new group? Some people happen to like "older" music (not just as a phase/fad or anything), and not this new stuff.

Well, most of my favorite bands are bands that I got into because of one big album, and then none of their other stuff did too well. (For example, Third Eye Blind and Oasis are my top two. Sure, Oasis was pretty big outside of the US, but I don't live elsewhere...)

But I enjoy the older stuff. I've only just recently started collecting Beatles albums, as they're pretty much excellent. I've gotten to the age where I can admit that I like my parents music, so Elvis Costello has become one of my new favorites.

It's fine if you like Floyd and AC/DC... it's just some people seem to worry more about the image of the band than whether they like the actual music or not.
