Actually, one of the characters that got the big boot was DK (Donkey Kong). I mean, think about it. He was only playable in Donkey Kong Country 1, a baby was his replacement counterpart in DKC 3... He was the worst character in DK64, he's one of the worst characters in SSB and SSBM, he isn't one of the best Mario Kart drivers and never was, and he EVEN got kicked out of the Mario Party games... You can pick from Koopa Troopa and Boo, but not DK...

But you don't move fast enough with Kirby. The way you want to do it with him is to suck someone up while you're already falling off the stage. It's a lot more sudden than with DK, and quite fun.

It's really fun with 4 DK's on a small stage.

You can do throw moves off the stage...you don't have to suck them up, either...the backward and forward throws for Kirby send the pink/blue/red/green/monochrome/yellow puffball and his opponent zooming to the bottom.

EDIT: Forgot you could change character colors in Melee and Super Smash Bros. for N64.

Nah. I had a great opportunity, though...some of the places you go to are pretty much floating, and if a Pikmin goes over the edge, you can kiss it goodbye. But you can't walk over the edge, due to the barriers on the edge. The Pikmin have to kinda fly over it somehow (throwing, getting bucked off by an enemy, etc.)

Bah. Moving throws with Kirby hardly stand up the shock and surprise your opponent has when they knock you off only to be taken down on your way back.

The extra bonus is if you can spit them out under the stage and get back on top without dying. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

(Used to do that from time to time in the original.)

I beat it with Yoshi with his down+A attack in the air.

Oh, and I didn't like the fact they loosened DK's grip in SSBM. Most of the times the victim would get loose and leave me to falling to my doom.

Mr. Game and Watch would fit well in that game.
