I told my dad(i dont really like him) i didnt want a cell phone because i did NOT wanted to be contacted where ever i go by my parents. AND THEY STILL GET ME IT... @_@

Never turn it on. That's what I do. The only times I use it is when I let mom know when I finish school so she can get dinner ready at just the right time. Turn on the phone, call mom, say I'm on the go, end the call, turn off the phone.

you're getting a free cell phone, why are you complaining? they're insanely useful for phoning your friends, storing numbers etc. and what if your parents actually NEED to get hold of you. god forbid you could take a call in public!

just leave it off, and if you really want to punish your parents leave your cell phone in direct sunlight as much as possible. fantastic way to deteriorate batteries, quite expensive. either that or talk non-stop to your parents until a) they go crazy hearing from you b) the bill is too high for them to maintain it.

i hate losing my freedom and 'false' gifts. i wouldn't be able to help myself from rebelling against your parents if i were in your shoes. but then, you are getting a free cell phone with bills paid. yet i'm such a non-phone person i'd see it more as a chain than a 'gift'.
