Fuck you, GameStop/Random CD Key Whore

Okay, I am rather pissed off at Amazon.com right now. -_-

I ordered the original CS a couple days ago, using some of my money. It was 30 bucks, and I opted for the next day delivery. That was Thursday of last week. Okay, I didn't get it Friday, no worries. I expected to get it by Saturday. Nope. Sunday, of course not, so I get it today. Well, that's not too bad, really, I can understand.

But the second part is what ticks me off. As anyone that uses Amazon will tell you, they sometimes sell stuff to you from third-party vendors. CS, for instance, came from GameStop. When I got it, and installed it, I opened up Steam to add in my CD-key. I entered it exactly right twice, and it said that someone else is using this. According to Kafka, I got a used copy of the game, that someone used to just get a CD-key from. T_T

Okay, random guy, fuck you. I spent some of the LITTLE money I have to play this online with friends. Thanks so fucking much for making it virtually impossible to play the game I've been wanting to play for quite some time. And also fuck GameStop, Amazon, or ANYONE who is stupid enough to accept returns for PC games. You know, people might actually just STEAL the CD keys. -_-

I know exactly how you feel. I bought CS from a store and the CD key didn't work for steam. People are too cheap to buy it so they use CD key generators and steal the game. It pisses me off so much.

Send an e-mail to Amazon and file your complaint. They probably will refund you.

Renamed the topic to a more appropriate name. Anyway, I sent GameStop an email. I'll probably just return it and download the damn thing through Steam.

DON'T go for a CD key gen. They rarely work. Just call customer support or something. I once tried to d/l a cd key gen off of limewire. Very bad idea. I got a huge worm that was a royal pain to get rid of.

Call tech support and explain that you bought the game via Amazon.com, but they did'nt have it marked as a "used" game, and that you can't play online as it says someone else is already using the "used" key.

And don't discuss anything like key generators on this site, considered warez material.
