View Full Version : PSOBB: How is the English-speaking BB community nowadays?
Maybe some of you will remember (but it's more likely that you wont) that I quitted PSOBB because I could only play 2-3 hours per day that were worth it, and since school was near, to be able to play only 5-6 hours/week with english-speaking people, with a monthly pay of 15 Euros was a waste of money.
However, I never really wished to quit BB. It's with no doubt the best PSO so far. So, I'm wondering... are there EU players on PSOBB now? or US/Canada players that connect during the morning (in US/Canada time)?
Because, if there is, I'd more than willingly join BB again (specially now that Episode4 is sooo close... @_@)
Thanks in advance for any answer.

The community is still around. Still divided between The Red Team and the Brotherhood(The kanji is meaningless, and not pronounced It's there because it looks good). Brotherhood has a bunch of members, at least one of which is British...
Oh, for Ep4, the closed beta is only open to people who were in the original beta, so don't make a new account if you do come back. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif
I wouldn't say the whole community is divided but a few people have their own feuds because they just don't know when to drop it. I play with members from both teams so I don't think its divided.
As for times... its best to go on from 12pm-12am imo... people pop in and out during that time the most.

If anything, the community has grown alot. Most members are on late night US eastern time though, so I don't know if mornings would be very populated. I get on when I can though.
-Late eastern US night means I'm on bed. Boo. u_u
-I know, Ian, I had no intention to make a new account anyway.
-The.. Brotherhood? o_O? what the hell happened with the PSOW team?
-Nites: those times, are Canadian?

I'm definitely thinking about downloading this then. Can you play it offline any without a hunter's license? I'd like to just play with it and mess around first before paying for a Japanese HL if possible.
Eanae: Doh!... thanks for filling me up...
Seta: no offline mode, but if I remember right, you have a 15 day or up-to-lvl-20 trial (no, you cant choose. whichever comes first, lvl 20 or 15 days, makes the trial end)

Awesome, thanks for the info. That should give me plenty of time to decide whether or not I want to continue with it or not. Although from what I hear of it, it sounds like pretty much the best version of PSO to date.

Funny thing about that is... there techincally is an offline mode. But... you kinda have to be online to access it XP

Whats the deal with ep4? I've been totally outta the loop and wanna get back into PSOBB. So you have to get and make an account with a new client or is it built into BB? I was on the original beta so I should be able to play right?
I think you have to be chosen by Sega, which you'll notice, since they'll sent you an E-Mail with the link to download the required files for Episode 4.
But to be able to be chosen, you must have been a previous beta tester.

If you were on the original beta, you would need that eta account to play the new episode 4 beta. But we'd be glad to have you back onto BB regardless. The community of good players is thinning. >_>;;

I don't know about The Red Team, but Brotherhood has at least 4 EU members: 2 French and 2 Italians (one is me).
It seems that new Italian players will make the great transition and leave GC for BB...

I'll be joining the English speaking people soon.
Where do you meet?

General meeting spot for english players is Leo 3. Vega without the sucking is Aries 1, and c-mode seems to currently be 2-5/2-6.
