ATA question...

Ok, I thought I knew the answer to the question long long time ago but...

Say my mag has 3 DEX, does that give me 2 ATA or 1 ATA?

The way to calculate is
Devide the number by 2
Odd numbers are rounded up

As far as I know if you still have 'half' a point of ata from levelling (that didn't add up to a whole level yet), together with the half point from the mag it would add up to one, and in that case be rounded up. Otherwise, down.

But now I'm saying this I'm starting to doubt actually, I'm not really sure about these "half" dex levels from levelling. I think I read this on gamefaqs a while ago or something. But the guide might have been intended for PSO V1.

I've got 3 mags where the odd numbers are rounde up?!
I made al mags after testing what happens with odd numbers a few years ago.

Sorry for the mix up, I thought this was the same on all platforms. I only answer when I'm SURE the answer is correct!

Did I mess up youre mag (I sure hope not?!).

its like tycho as well as kef says:

your mag adds .5 ata for each dex level.

with ###.0 base ata for a char, you'll get ###.5 total ata which gets rounded off.

if your char happens to have ###.5 or more (in case of a ranger, since those get 0.75 ata per level up) the .5 of the mag adds and gives you a full ###.0 and thus an additional point of ata.

It could be either. Although your ATA is shown as a whole number, you may actually receive only a fraction of a point. The mag adds a .5 to that fraction for every level of DEX. If that number becomes GREATER THAN .5, then the number is rounded up and you gain another point of ATA.
