True. It could be a silencer. They won't know they've been shot at until they got hit.

Yeah that's usually how it is.

I mean, if a bullet goes flying past you, you don't go 'Argh! I'm hit'... Because you weren't.

Unless you suddenly inflate and the bullet hits you and makes you go flying around like PSSSSSHHHHHHHHHH and you hit a tree and fall into a pool and float there and float there for the rest of the eternity...then say "Argh! I'm hit!"
