With all the modifications to the original game which are being made for GC and Xbox versions of PSO, it would be great if you could maybe get mods or patches which would allow you to use equipment seen in films.
It could be possible for PC versions...

Some examples are.

From Dune:
Stillsuit costume in character creation.
Holtzmann Shield.
Weirding Module (could have an effect similar to Plantain Huge Fan).
Sardaukar Uniform (for Hunters)
House Jongleur costume (for Forces)

From The Fifth Element:
The ZF1.
Mondoshawan Armour (for Racast)
In fact, any of those weird guns..

Or perhaps there already is some sort of Mod available on the net somewhere....?

Any more ideas?

I belive the main reasons they wouldn't do this is that it would retract from the origionality of the game, and cost much more money to use copywrighted material.

So you may say it would detract from the originality, but the fact is folk love to see stuff like that in action.

When the novelty of the originality is no longer a big thing, folk may want to experiment a bit and so something of the sort may appear some day...

they should allow you to create own serverside quests where you can modify everything.
these quests will have to be checked for cheats or traps (like nol etc) but it would really add a dimension to the game.
also you as creator should have to actually take over the role of a 'npc' in that quest... but... that would have to be watched over by an admin too...

hey it would be possible as downloadquest, but then sega will have check every uploaded selfmade-quest and i dont think they will ^_^ lemme dream, lemme sleep a little bit longer *sings*
