So I've acquired Halo for the PC. The primary purpose for this acquisition is, of course, putting Warthogs and other vehicles precisely where they were not intended to go.

After dinking around for a bit with grenades, rockets, and making Warthogs merely drift for a bit, I eventually came up with this--

That's 6 Warthogs in the Red Base. At this point, I realized that this is an impressive strategy for protecting your flag in a good ol' Capture the Flag session.

I wasn't satisfied, however. Somehow, there just had to be more to it.

So I adjusted the rules of this particular Capture the Flag tournament. Now, I had as many of all vehicles as Blood Gulch would give me-- 8 Ghosts, 6 Rocket Warthogs, 6 Warthogs, 6 Scorpions and 2 Banshees. The Scorpions, I've found to be somewhat useless for this venture. They're too heavy for just one idiot to get on top of the base, and even if I could, I don't think they'd fit in the hole at top.

The 8 Ghosts, 6 Rocket Warthogs, 6 Warthogs and 2 Banshees on the other hand...

...Not only worked just fine for the purpose, but they even filled the base effectively enough, that the last couple of Warthogs I was able to more or less just park on top.

Now get that many outside of Sidewinder including the Tank and you'll acheive what my friends and I have.<_<

Wait a second... color on Master Chief?

You, sir, are playing with a real video card, unlike me.

Yeah, I dunno if it's 4 to 5 year-old video card (http://www.ati.com/products/radeon7500/aiwradeon7500/index.html), or the shiny 3.2GHz Pentium IV (http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/processors/pentium4HTXE/index.htm) that really gets the job done, but I'll tell ya what; I never figured I could do so much with such an old video card.

It's things like that that maybe cause me to think Halo isn't so bad.
then I remember being punched every time I won.

That's the greatest part about Halo, the physics engine. It's like a mix of Earth and the Moon.

Make no mistake-- That is precisely the reason why I bought it.

Well, considering that it takes place on a giant ring-structure, it's no wonder the gravity is all funky. o_O

Yeah, but then the physics is the same on Earth in Halo 2, which is odd.

Don't you have to take the enemy's flag back to your own in order to get a point, or is the field larger for that?

EDIT: I grammar be good.

Actually, I tested that. You can get in deep enough to score. You'll virtually have to kill yourself to get out, but scoring can indeed be done.

So that would still make stealing your flag difficult, having to kill yourself to get out and such. Interesting.

bleh >_>

it's still funner to just make a ramp and jump warthogs and ghosts over the bases http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

or what I like to do... >_>

sit in a hilltop as my friends jump over the bases and shot them in mid-air with the rocket launcher >_>
