Moneys go down da drain! Moneys go down the drain!
Its gonna rain! Its gonna rain!
Tingles got 5 books to buy this session.
And her bill got her into depression!

Estimated bill for 5 books - $304.25
Then theres the possibility i need more art tools
And maybe a new calculator for Precalc (unless that 130 price includes one).

Woo! Im gonna be broke! http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Tingle is not actually depressed by this rather stunned and stupified.

Have you tried allbookstores.com?

It's one of those sites where it'll bring up the book you're looking for on a bunch of different sites so you can compare prices.

I saved quite a bit of money on my textbooks last semester by using it.

Sayara

Most times no. Teachers usually dont allow used books.
Unless the list says used is allowed... assuming the edition they want is the same.

Wait, your teachers don't let you use used books?

What the hell kind of scam are they trying to run? Buying used books is the backbone of a college education.

Yeah, I agree.

I wonder what reason they could possibly have.

1. Used Books --> Answers in book [since they assign it from book]

2. Editions change constantly so i'm told, and a used book would probably have not the correct stuff i need.

Well, obviously you have to have the right edition (although not always necessary, heck, I've gotten away with buying no books whatsoever for some classes) but saying you can't buy used books because their might be answers in them? That's just ridiculous. Somebody at your school is way too idealistic, I'll tell you that much.

Heck, my campus bookstore keeps used books IN STOCK, and will gladly sell them to you.

However, in some cases, my school does force you to buy their home-made textbooks. Basically, the teachers think they can write a textbook, so they bind a few hundred pages of photocopies and force us to buy them for ridiculous prices... like with my Calculus book last year. The book they used once, then got rid of after half of the people taking the class failed. I'm telling you, my school loves taking care of its students.

1. buy book
2. bring back to room
3. scan all pages
4. print all pages
5. return to book store for full refund and say "wrong class"
