Going to another mmrpg thingy

I know i said i was quitting Ragnarok a month ago....but i couldn't! But now i'm for real. Ragnarok Online got a SERIOUS bot problem! I went to a level called Ant Hell to look for a rare weapon and every monster i killed got constantly killed by a UBER STRONG bot and since they did more damage they were able to take my rares. ONE EVEN TOOK MY PRECIOUS VITATA CARD A REALLY RARE ITEM!!!!!!!!! So are there any good MMORPGS that don't have a major Bot problem thats good?

even though it's not free, have you ever given Anarchy Online a try.. I used to play that way too much and is VERY VERY fun... beware of a lot of nerds however constantly complainging about how FunCom "nerfs" every aspect of the game... they complain about it as if FunCom does it to intentionally hurt their lives..

Great game, and any user hacks/cheats such as botting result in a banned account. The Dev's are quite strict when it comes to cheating of any kind, they don't have a problem "thinning the herd".

And even so, there's almost a constant of 9-10k+ users on at any given time, and it's all on a single server/shard world-wide.

Anarchy Online is free for a whole year minus the expansion packs.

Signed up a couple of days ago. Haven't really had a chance to get into the game but yeah it is free.

Polished botted on RO and got banned in a week. That was the quickest to ever be banned for us.


But if you want a good MMORPG...World of Warcraft. Most of the people are nice. Very seldom is there a lag problem (for me anyway). And it is all around just fun.

OH NO... stay away from Lineage 2... horribly frustrating game. Nothing like investing hours and hours into your character then losing valuable pieces of gear because you died once. The death penalties are way too severe and there is a huge problem with bots and ebaying.

All the stores that sell games in my area (SW Florida) have loads of copies. Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target, etc...I had absolutely no trouble ascertaining my copy. Maybe things are different in his area as well?

In any case, World of Warcraft is an excellent game. AO and EVE are sci-fi based, and WoW is fantasy-based. Essentially, I guess you just get to choose which genre you like more. My opinion would be biased, since I pretty much live in Azeroth nowadays, but WoW is an excellent, excellent game. Beautiful landscapes and character models, plenty of quests for ALL levels (finding quests is absolutely no problem, and the designers made it so it's always keeping you busy and leveling at a very balanced rate), etc...

I really haven't noticed any bots in WoW - there's a built-in macro system, but that's just automated processes - not really sure what that's all about since I've never used it. hehehe

I meant that about the grouping, but yeah, you do die quite often, but then again, that's the job of a tank. Putting his body in dager for the better of the party.

I have heard from GI that it wasn't really gunna be an MMORPG but more of B-Net type game and other things that just turned me off.
