The Halo 2 Soundtrack yet again, I am begining to understand why the game series is so popular.

Sure, games like Call of Duty and BF:1942 have *far* better multiplayer.

Single Player though:

Lemme see.

Call of Duty is epic. Halo 2 is epic. Halo 2 has a more "epic" feel to the sountrack.

Halo 2's single player, thus, wins by a hair.

Also, it is a world created by the minds at Bungie. *Not* a world that has already existed (say, the time period of World War II).

Haven't played Half Life 2/Heard its soundtrack, but I assume good things from it.

Discuss.

Been there, listened to that.

I heard that the Halo 2 soundtrack was actually fairly lackluster, at least in regards to the rock songs.

But I'm a sucker for the cheesey guitar riff while the Bungie logo is going. Cheesey guitar riffs are too sweet for words.

EDIT: To be fair, it was from the comic One-One-Seven (I think) on halo.bungie.org, so I suppose it's not the most thought-provoking review.

The marching band at my school is actually considering doing the Halo theme.

No, I'm being serious.

The marching band at our school did music from final fantasy once.

Thus further supporting the fact that our marching band mostly consists of the biggest losers in school. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

They already did Bohemian Rhapsody (which I thought was cool), so I guess you could call them dorks based on that.

I've heard a highschool marching band play that once, along with a few other Queen songs.

Wasn't the full song, and it seemed much slower than it should have been.

Edit: I've heard some bands play FF before too. I didn't really know the songs, but my brother says he did. But they were always the same set of songs.

Halo 2 soundtrack gets a big thumbs up from me. And unlike the game it actually has a proper ending.
