I tried to ignore it.. make the pain go away, but now that they say they're changing some things I decided I'd finally have a shot at getting a request in for Ep2. Yeh I know they're likely to completely ignore it but since playing v1 again I can't help but miss this thing! >_< http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Its the hit system - I emailed them asking for it to be returned to the style v1 used..

Heh I know its almost utterly pointless trying but I can't stand it >>>>_<<<< . HCers of old would agree... it ruined the game so much ..

So I wrote a long sorrowful email and begged for them to return it.. Anyone (who's noticed it) agree?

(The v1 hit system allowed no invulnerability time after a baddie struck you. The v2 hit system allows about 1 second of invulnerability).

Almost all Japanese companies don't care about what American's have to say. There's nothing new there. It's not only isolated to Sonic Team or Sega.

But people can always TRY! Pretend to be Japanese!

I could think of one problem with pretending to be Japanese, see if you can guess what it is.

I hope it's not some racial thing. Anyway, pretending to be Japanese is lame because then you become a fake.

Companies only listen to your opinions when they ask for it...

Well now, this seems to be the new hot spot for stupid comments.

Seeing as how the US is a major market for a lot of Japanese companies, I think they pay attetion to US consumers. Do SONY, TOYOTA, Panasonic, etc. ring a bell to anyone?

If a large company doesn't pay attention to someone, it mainly because they here from millions of people per day, and can't sort through everything. Since ST is offering a product, they have to listen to the consumers.

I do hope that the little thing Defend mentioned does get changed, just so every idiot here knows what a dumbass they made themselves to be.

The problem with the v1 hit system is that it rewarded being knocked down with taking less damage overall from combo enemies (gillchics, sinows, and delsabers)

Yeh that was definately noticeable.. level 10s dying alot more than level 5s for that reason... but its still there as is too.. the invulnerability just waits for you to get up first, then kicks in.

The V2 system however, made Dark Falz a wussy boss. The Darvants before he finally forms were extremely deadly if you made a mistake, as they'd repeatedly tear into you. In his final form, those blasts he shoots hit you multiple times as well, almost always killing you if you didn't effectively dodge.

Being a higher level in a sense was worse since being knocked down made you invunerable for a moment, but being surrounded used to mean something. Now, being surrounded doesn't mean anything... get hit once, fight your way out while several hits go right through you during your second and a half of invunerability. Kireek's warning in "Battle Training" is pretty meaningless.

The old V1 hit system was better, since V2's made the game much, MUCH easier. I used to remember being slain by a flurry of shots from distant Gilchics, which although frustrating, made the game challenging. I'd like to be kept constantly on my toes in-game again, since Ob Lillies were about the only thing that garnered immediate attention.

Having emailed Sonic team about a problem in V1 they made it very clear that do not take unsolicited suggestions. This is to avoid legal problems.

Mearly making it like ver1 would bring back all the problems of why having low hp/def was better then high hp. If you took hits from many enemies, even a single delsaber combo, you'd take so much more damage then just falling on the floor and getting that brief moment of invincibility. I remeber playing in ver1 and how horribly unbalanced it was that as soon as I gained a level(at a certain point where I could takes hits and not fall down), the del sabers would hit me 3 times in a row, for almost 3 times more damage then what I used to take.

I remeber FOs keeping there HP below 550 or so, to prevent such occurences.

I doubt ST would make the change even if they did read it and consider it. They'd have to eliminate any sort of invincibility gained from falling from the floor or being hit.

I'd say eliminate invincibility online, but keep it offline.

True, it did make it strange getting hurt moe once you passed that point..

But to go n ruin the whole system for it??

Falling over was still alot more annoying than being able to stay standing up..
