A few things make threads "great" for me.

1. A thread that makes you stop and think for a while (this one for example)

2. A thread that is extremely silly but that is held together by a small number of central themes, or maybe just one theme. Of course, I have to like the theme (cute, fluffy cat-person threads can fuck the hell off for sure).

3. A thread with alot of pictures that make me care or laugh.

4. A thread that has as little to do with the PSOW IRC as possible. I have nothing against #psow, but I also know nothing of what transpires in there. As such, when a thread that revolves around said IRC is created in FKL, then all of a sudden, I have one less thread that I can participate in.

*takes #psow and makes a burger out of it using the George Foreman IRC sorter*

It has to have the right post speed.

Something you can follow fairly easily if you only refresh every 5 minutes or so.

Interesting board to post this in.
Unless you mean "Post what you think makes a great thread here" with "here" meaning "in FKL", as opposed to "here" meaning this is where we post ideas for what makes a great thread in general, not including the bounds of FKL, or any spam board for that matter, but rather the entirety of the internet, which is given within certain, albeit varied, parameters, dependant upon the given style of posting, and overall accepted behavior and culture for any given board, place, or time.
