Also, don't attack every user that doesn't at first read the rules. Sure, a topic about where to find such and such in a certian quest is commonly asked, and is easily found in the guides, some people may not know what to do.
When the images came back, we were flooded with new users again, and the first question he asked was a simple question, a quiz. He was immediatly told to read the forum rules and was accused of spamming. At least greet him/her and tell them something nice, like "Welcome to the PSO World!".
Don't immediatley say they did something wrong and say "OMFG READ THE STICKIES AND THE FORUM RULES." Simply say that they should check the guides/search and explain that we have important topics that we call stickies.
See someone post in The Lounge? Greet them, and do something like Ketchup does, you know, the pretyped message.
Just want the site to continue to grow to be even better than it already is.

I agree, I think there are some real "haters" on psow. Like a secret cult against noobs.
Stop the hate, people!!!

The one you linked to prolly hasn't really heard of PSO, so might not even realise it's out for consoles and the PC, and prolly doesn't know if it's one of those free games you can trial or not.
Absurdity from those who have been around long enough, but to someone entirely new to the game and all it entails, just a simple question.
Be nicer, explain some shit, just being an ass and telling them to google it, or merely posting with "DUUURRR!" is just as stupid as what you perceive them as doing wrong.
So, either help them understand abit, or stop spamming the topics.

it helps the image, yours & psow, to be a bit nicer
help the less knowledgeables & ignorants to the guides by explaining what is asked
yet, don't bring the guides to them, but lead them to the guides because everyone needs to know how to use the guides & stickies
it doesn't hurt to be friendly, but it can hurt to be mean
this is the internet afterall, words don't cost you, your attitude will!

Afuckingmen. -_- I'm guilty of snapping occasionally, but there are people here who make a freaking CAREER of it.
Hi, there are newbies. They don't know everything about the game. They might learn if politely lead to the guides or answered. Screaming at them just drives them away, or worse, makes them pissed off and defensive and will lead to them actually becoming jack-offs, just to get back at the original snapper. XP
Now, the n00bs on the other hand... http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif
*Is proud he was one of the newbs who got to PSOW for the guides*
And what if they ask what the blue bar with HP in it is >.>

I'm one of those who was snapped at - pretty hard too.
I left for quite a while and stopped playing PSO because of it. Needed to get away for awhile.
I've been back and things are much better now.
We ALL make mistakes and we All mis-speak from time to time. No one of us is perfect all the time.
We are a community, after all, and being courteous and helpful is what allows a community to grow and thrive.
As Woody said to Sid: "Be Nice! - We'll be watching."

Yeah.
I haven't been here THAT long, but I've been here long enough to know what not to post and other junk like that.
When I first came here, I was GREATLY welcomed, and that's the case with most new people here. First impression, everyone was extremely helpful and friendly.
Keep it up. <3 <3
