The only place in which you can use such an excuse is when you're trying to do something illegal for your age. Someone there will stop you.

"I can't gamble in Las Vegas casinos yet because I'm only 20!"
"I can't vote because I'm only 17!"
or something like that.

Even then its only in defense of not wanting to attempt such things when prompted.

Someone asks you to play cards in Vegas or something, this being your defense.

Something else is scary though, professional atheletes being 14 years old nowadays...
