Report FSOD

I just got FSOD'ed and the whole US: Altair-02-01 block too.
The guy who did it was Manaknayda' and he was talking about FSOD'ing the block with GhostlyGal. GhostlyGal asked him to FSOD the whole block.
Where can I report this to ST?? Because this has to stop!!!

Probably can't do much of any reporting unless you have the guy's guildcard so you can give them the ID number off of it.

Go to the Website option on your PSO start up page. There will be an option to report such things to Sega.

Try to include the name of whoever you thought was responsible, the lobby, block, ship, and time/date. Again, having the guild card of the individual would help here for the said number to be given.

Yes, the FSODing has gotten worse this past week. Just this morning I was FSOD twice in Antares 4. Last week they got me and made me lose a frozen shooter and 24 photon drops. Altogether, I've lost over 1,500,000 mesetta because of them, not to mention countless scape dolls, mates, atomizers, and the like.

I was in a lobby with them today as well, and I recall them talking about FSOD-ing everyone too. They were also talking trash too...cheating the chat systems censor by mispelling words.

I really, really wouldn't bother reporting it. Everyone knows that Sonic Team won't do anything about it. To be honest, I think the only reason Xbox/GC is still online is because Blue Burst isn't out in America/Europe. Once released, I think they'll shut down the console versions soon after, as much as I'd hate that to happen. Just carry as little as possible, to minimize FSOD losses, that's about all you can do.

You don't have to use the japanese language setting, just avoid crowded and/or popular blocks and ships if your fear of FSOD outweighs your want to play with other people.

EU players on GC can mail to info@segahelp.com. Be as specific as you can when doing that. So, who did it, where was it done, and when was it done. With regard to the when: Don't forget to note your timezone.

I have mailed them several times and always gotten at least a nice reply. To a report like this they will probably respond saying they have relayed the information to ST-JP for them to look into. How much ST-JP will do is always a question. But my bet is if enough people complain about the same incident, they'll act.

One thing I have learned about all this stuff: You come up with a solution, they will simply come up with another problem. No doubt it will be hard, and no doubt something will be possible. But it won't be enough.
Only way to stop becoming a victim of hacking/ARing/general assholes on PSO is to stop playing PSO online. Sad but true.

You cant "counter" a fsod.
If you counter the same fsod to a person, they are alraedy resistant if they havent fsoded from their own fsod.
That and anti-fsod stops out all w/s so yes.

My question is... while most FSODs come from jackass cheaters/AR users/ect... what exactly causes a "natural" FSOD? Like... an FSOD that isn't caused by hackers, or am I just talking out of my ass and natural FSOD isn't possible?

well actually you could make a counter fsod program you would just have to make it on your pc and know what the signal that cuases FSOD is so you would know what your sending back. the hard part would be getting it off your pc and into the GC to test it and to incorporate all the different types of FSOD codes/signals. I think while they're at it make it so the counter fsod thing deletes the source A.K.A the one who tried to cause it.

People it is possible it just has to be done on the pc and be programmed right and include all FSOD codes thats the tricky part, the analogy with the car and paper really isnt that good becuase all the two things are are signals one person sends out, all this counter thing would do would tell the FSOD signal to return to its source becuase it is blocked, niether one would be stronger than the other. And by the sounds of it those of you who think its stupid and keep trying to tell people it wont work and not to try to me it sounds like you guys are the hackers and FSODers and dont want someone to find a way to ruin your fun.

you do realize that there are hundreds of other fsod codes out there besides yours and mirror means to copy or imitate. it is possible to send a signal back which is all you would be doing in this case you just have to have a program fast enough to do it and its just very complicated to do, and secondly wasnt the original idea a code to disable all codes?

There are not "hundreds" of other fsod codes. There's about 3 or 4 more max, and i made them all lol. By mirror i meant reflect, i was assuming you'd use some common sense and figure that out. I have made an anti for every single fsod i've made so far. Mirroring it back would be impossible.

I think what soulja is getting at, and what everyone with a gram of common sense would be able to come up with all on his/her own is that a program/code that can stop an FSOD-packet from causing FSOD can and will be used by FSOD-ers. Even if you were to send an FSOD-packet to whoever sent you one, chances are it would have no effect.
My bet is the FSOD-ing assholes will be among the first to use any anti-FSOD thing anyone can come up with, leaving the regular players the victims of FSOD-warfare.

eh woot! my code is almost done, right now, it stops all AR codes but the person using the code (which means that i cant pass it out yet), after i fix that, i will have to test it with online FSOD'ing myself (useless character) to make sure the code will do it's job, the only code it isn't set to stop is its self, it is so many lines long >.< it will be a pain to type in when i finish, but it will be genuinely worth it ^.^

Small update. The email address info@segahelp.com is no longer the place to report things for EU. Instead you have to go to http://www.sega-europe.com and choose Support. Then select platform and game, and choose Search. Then choose the tab Ask a Question. You will need an account, but you can create that as you go along.
I did this last night. An automated mail tells me I should receive an answer within one business day. Should be within a few hours....

I will not reveal their names because they strictly do not wish to be caught, as some of their views are hypocritical...they know who they are and that is all the people that need to know.
as for the project itself...it is gone, deleted.
No one will ever see the coding...the numbers...or even the brainstoming sheet...
As far as I know, there is no counter-fsod patch prototype, beta test, or final version in existence...
and it will stay that way unless someone is foolish enough to follow in my footprints...

as for your question...we will lose, it is that simple, Blue Burst will be released in english and the Gamecube and X-Box US/EU servers for PSO will be closed.
People will flock to Blue Burst and thrive on it for a while...

Then someone will hack it, they will develop new FSOD, BSOD, Corrupt, and it will start again untill either all US players drop dead, or ST shuts down the US/EU servers for that as well...

basically, its hopeless...but dispite all that I said, I am still going to play Online, the only way to stop me is to kill me...and I seriously doubt that anyone reading this can track me down and do just that, and if someone were foolish enough to try, There are 4 Law Enforcment angents in my Family, 2 cops, 1 C.S.I. and A Federal Marshal.

Yeah, he has a proxy server. He can force a double save in the lobby and FSOD via lobby nuke code, which doesn't use word select, so the antis currently released won't protect you. He hasn't been on in a few days, or if he has, I haven't seen him.
