Suck? What is suck?

Lets end that arguement right now......

Some say "Suck" means to do terrible at something. Other says "Suck" as in an inward motion you do by taking in air quickly through the mouth.

But what do our good friends at Rogets Say? or the people at http://www.dictionary.com say? Lets find out....

suck

v. tr.
To draw (liquid) into the mouth by movements of the tongue and lips that create suction.

To draw in by or as if by a current in a fluid.
To draw or pull as if by suction: teenagers who are sucked into a life of crime.

Vulgar Slang. To be disgustingly disagreeable or offensive.

n.
The act or sound of sucking.
Suction.
Something drawn in by sucking.

Phrasal Verbs:
suck in
To take advantage of; cheat; swindle.
suck up

suck

n : the act of sucking [syn: sucking, suction] v 1: draw into the mouth by creating a practical vacuum in the mouth; "suck the poison from the place where the snake bit"; "suck on a straw"; "the baby sucked on the mother's breast" 2: draw something in by or as if by a vacuum; "Mud was sucking at her feet" 3: attract by using an inexorable force, inducement, etc.; "The current boom in the economy sucked many workers in from abroad" [syn: suck in] 4: take in, also metaphorically; "The sponge absorbs water well"; "She drew strength from the minister's words" [syn: absorb, imbibe, soak up, sop up, suck up, draw, take in, take up] 5: give suck to; "The wetnurse suckled the infant"; "You cannot nurse your baby in public in some places" [syn: breastfeed, bottle-feed, suckle, nurse, wet-nurse, lactate, give suck] [ant: bottlefeed]

So.......What kind of "Suck" are you referring to? Think before you say such an obscure thing as "You Suck" because remember....you can be saying many things to a person...some are which more offensive thne others.....

God I am bored......
