What if you could be any character... [Archive]

I was watching a rerun of the new ".hack" series and I got an interesting idea. What if Sonic Team held a contest for PSO:BB US, where the winners would get to play as an NPC of their choosing as their first character for BB. It would be awesome if they did something like that. IMO it would be the greatest opening to a game ever.

And what do you think of my idea?

Most of the NPCs are already just the basic costumes for all the classes...

And the person who wins the contest will just be a target for hacking. Bleh.

meh, with server side character saves i'm pretty sure that ST will be able to deter hacking this time around... well hopefully. But it would be kind of cool. COME ON, EH, COME ON< you know it would rock...

BTW, i did't mean like the normal NPC's you see walking around the ship. Just the more known ones, like the crazy looking RAmar guy from Ep4 or like Flowen or even Elly. Personally I find the idea of being Flowen pretty appealing.

I'm afraid to know what the RAmar guy looks like, but I think it would be exceptionally fun to play as Rico... Or maybe even kid Rico?

I would say Rupika tends to hover over the well-being of friends and her relatives (anyone)and she once was homeless.

Definitely Elly from Ep2. She is the most adorable thing ever, and I love her outfit to pieces. I wish there was more to do with her in ep2. Man.. that game needed some offline quests. -_- (besides Seat of the Heart on PSO+)

It is possible, just start a new HUcast. Then name him KIREEK. Kireek is only the default model of the HUcast. And if you already have a Soul Eater, your all set.

And about the topic, I don't just mean people from the PSO universe. I mean potentially any character from any SEGA/ST game. Jut think of the possibilities...

...not really. Maybe it would be really funny to see Principal Tyrell running around Ragol slashing and hacking everything apart with a Tsumikiri J-Sword, though.

Actually, didn't Tyrell use to be a Hunter? In that case him running around smacking Boomas wouldn't be THAT much of a stretch, even if he has let himself go. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Eh, maybe Ep2 Elly or the GM skin. But honestly, I'd rather have the ability to come up with something a little less goofy for my FOmar to wear. XP Hell, just the original costume styles they were kicking around for him they have pictures of in the Book of Hunters would be a vast improvement over the current goofy dresses. XP Although pants would be vastly more sensible... But then, what do you want in a video game? XP
