View Full Version : Ver1/Ver2 question

I have had ver 1 since day one and switched over to ver 2 shortly after it came out..

my question is this:

I gave my copy of ver 1 to a friend because I no longer needed it.. she has been playing it offline for awhile, but would like to take it online.. is there any way that it can be done?

when I called the help line about it they just told me that the ver 1 game can't be played online.. that characters could be created offline and leveled up but needed to be transfered to my game..

well I want her to be able to play online w/out having to use my, or another ver 2 disk.

any ideas??

All you need to do is get your version 1serial and access key reseted. Then before your freind goes online, just have her imput the same keys you got reseted. After this they should be able to go online.

I was thinking this, but then I thought it might be differant because it is tied to the V2 s/n...

I don't have version 2, so I don't know how this works. I thought that PSO version 2, gives you a new serial and access key?

it gives you new serial if you styart new characters, if you transfer v1 to v2 you still use v1 serial

cool that you got the message but sad that we never got to meet up.. perhaps this weekend I'll have a keyboard and we can actually talk before we go gaming.

so is there a known answer to this whole thing?

The only way she could take your copy of Ver.1 online is if she had the DC that the disk was used to go online with originally. When you go online and put in your serial number and access key, they get stored on your DC and that disk of Ver.1 ends up being tied to that particular DC.
