Anyway, we're still waiting for more information, such as when they'll put up a main website for US PSOBB, and when they do that, we'll hopefully hear of a beta.

I wouldn't put them in the same catagory, I mean, one only has 4 people per game and you play the same thing over and over, the other is a mmorpg with hundreds of people playing and a persistant world.

Good point Shiva91, especially since my mistake was do to the fact that I had my languages mixed and wrote the month in half French and English (March is Mars in French).

Anyway, I hope SOA keeps the monthly fees reasonable. I like playing PSO, but not everyday. Paying $10 US for something I would play a few days per month would be the maximum I’d be willing to pay.

Why does ST need to do another beta anyway? The prupose of a beta is to test for glitches in the game, and the JP beta did just that. All they need to do is add an english language option, and the game is good to go. Hell, they could just add a US/JP/EU language pack to the JP version, and it could be released globally overnight.

The only reason I see for a beta, is for ST to see how many people sign up, and then use that to determine whther a full version would be worth the cost of making.

Cynric, there's more to it than simply translating this game in English. One of the many things will include making it run properly with a North American version of Windows (without needing to add Japanese regional functions).

When you start changing any coding in a program, you're bound to affect something else that has nothing to do with the changes you've just made. Test will have to be performed on this to make sure that nothing crucial got touch that could make the program unstable.

Also, just like there are servers for the XBOX PSO and for the GCube PSO, they'll need to make some for BB in NA. Tests will also have to be performed on those in order to test the connections, the security, etc...
