I am planning on returning to PSO for gamecube, and I'm just concerned about the cheating/hacking... I know it happens and it will always happen, but how wide spread is it? Do people have weapons taht kill bosses in one hit and crap? or if I make an open game what are the chances of a hacker joining in? and also lotsa of people don't hack, but they use GOD-Like weapons, is there alot of this going on in the gamecube servers?
Thanks for any answers ^_^
P.S. also wondering if ebay is the best/only place to buy PSO E1&2 Plus?

Unfortuantely the answer is yes to all those questions. but you can still get a game without cheating once you meet a few people online.

^ some of those questions aren't even yes questions... http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif
1.Widespread? Almost everywhere.
2.Not in one hit, maybe in one or two combo.
3.Open game? Chances are if your on a block with people someone will FSOD you. Don't believe in corruption codes because that You All Die thread is BS their crew can't do shit.
4.Yes, most commons use 381 or 300 weps not that 100 and 200 weps aren't common
Like what's his name said. Once you hop into a lobby, play a few open games, i'm sure you'll meet a group of people you can pretty much chill with most of the time. Meaning you can get their card, and start PWed games with just them and have a blast. But, of course we all know once a hacker or FSODer steps in, it can ruin the mood of the game. But screw em'. Just find a few friends, and plan get togethers.

Jeeze, how do you exactly get FSODed? Why do they wanna FSOD players so much?

What everyone said. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif
If you're interested in a game, I'd love to play. I'm usually on after 7 PM in either Mintaka 5-8 or Deneb 8-5. If you'd like to get together for a game I'd be interested.
In the last 3 weeks I've only been FSOD'd once, and I could easily have avoided that if I'd been a little less fumbly in trying to disconnect :P
If you want to avoid ebay for some reason, dvdcrave.com in Australia also has Plus at a reasonable price. Completely trustworthy. Also, I'd be happy to play with you too if you want to play legit games.

You can also count on me like Ochre and Calx, except I play less online than them

This is one reason I prefer the xbox version..sure there are hackers, but only dupers and hacked mags, I've yet to be fsoded, corrupted, or any of the other junk that happens on GC..

I'm glad I was finished with the game ages ago before the AR was released. To see PSO fall into this state again.. It is to laugh..
That's life. The constant rise and fall of PSO. I can only pray when PSU comes out, they will crack down on hacking, duping, and other things like mad.
If only they were as strict as EverQuest and Final Fantasy 11. Nothing like a GM to set shit straight, REAL fast. Of course they're talking about GMs in PSOBB? Or they do actually have them? Hopefully that'll fix alot of things mentioned above.

hate to break it to ya, but according to everything i heard PSU is going to be nothing like PSO, not even remotely related to it, and we don't even know if its going to be online or not...
You're years behind Squash. Years.
