A problem

Sometimes, when I'm writing a long post, I use my computer's Microsoft Works word processor and then copy and paste it into the message body section of the post. That is also the way I intend on posting my Fanfic. The problem is that when I paste it in the post, all the parentheses turn into question marks. What's wrong and what can I do to fix it? If I can.

If you use notepad be sure to change the font to something like verdana so you don't have flash backs to the 80's ^_<
