I think that the J-players and the E-players rather play the game that sit around in the lobbies and FSOD people. I have been in the Japan Servers and Euro Servers in the busy lobbies and not been FSOD once. Every freaking time I go to a US ship with ten people in it ynnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnrrrrrrrrrr... Frozen

So with that said he's it seems that the majority of the FSODERS are American.

The above post is pretty much right on the money. I've never been FSODed on a European or Japanese server. Those players bought the game to actually play it.

PSO has taught me that not only do American video game players want to achieve things with little to no effort at all, but are also very destructive, immature and dissrespectful.

(of course this doesn't apply to everyone, just the masses it seems. Don't take offense) ^_^

From my biased perspective, I've seen that most FSODers are around highschool age.

Taking what I know of the Japanese school system, I assume that most school children are far to busy to be wasting time with cheating.

Are Action Replays available in Europe and Japan?

(J-p, though convenient, may be considered derogatory)

In full agreement here. Ive been FSOD'd, corrupted, the lot on US ships, but since I started using JP ships, ive been fine. Just a shame I dont speak a word of Japanese, and cant communicate with the majority of players there... I mean, word select is a good idea, but there's only a limited amount of stuff you can say with it. If not understanding people of being FSOD'd are my choices, ill stick with the JP ships thanks.

Not at all intended, except my spelling sucks and I would not want to offend them by my spelling either. If I spelled there country name wrong someone might think i did it on purpose. By the way... If you play multiplayer and press right on your controller. thats how we are identified by the game. E123 English speaking player level 123 J200 Japaneese level 200, G050 German l50. Anyway if i offended anyone ..forgive me not the intension at all.

Hello Pretty in Pink! ~_^

Anyways, as for the servers, i'd still play in US ships and blocks. Then again, i'd probably also avoid overcrowded areas, and only play in site sponsored blocks. Mainly not Gamefaqs ships lol.

Then again, I might start venturing over to the EU ships. They have alot of nice players over there that are usually bi-lingual, also alot of english players chill over there. It's just an all together better environment.

I don't know about the Japanese ships, as I find the lag there too much to bear. Also, I have found that many Japanese aren't too fond of foreigners and I usualy end up playing with other foreigners roaming about there.
I'm EU, so I mostly play on EU ships. And don't think that is safe. My friends and me have been running from block to block and locking ourselves up for well over a year. The few times we stayed in the lobbies the assholes have found us and done us in. And that was not on busy blocks. Just 3 or 4, and we got the harassment to bear. Sure, we have a lot less than what I hear from the US ships, but still. From what I hear, most of the assholes indeed turn out to be US. A sign of this is that for DreamCast the JP and EU servers are still running, and the US ones aren't.
Sadly, the US seem to have more obnoxious assholes than the other regions, and the nice people once again have to suffer for the bad.

Oh, and AR is well available in both EU and JP territories.

Forgive my language but, damn straight. And I'm a US player myself. Mostly the disrespectful ones are young to begin with, and usally more immature than their years would make you hope. I really look forward to seeing how these jerks do in the real world...you can't FSOD people in real life: http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

That point made about the US having most of the FSOD-ers is true indeed, but the EU has some bad eggs too...although oddly enough they seem to like going on the US ships instead.

As for avoiding this whole fiasco, I agree that staying in remote lobbies is the best idea. Although sometimes they find you out and things turn ugly. I once had gotten togther spotaneously with some people in a lobby and we all decided to have a TTF race...it was really a great idea...but then as my team exited some loser entered the lobby and would FSOD people who entered the lobby; he was there for like 15 minutes. Heck, one time I got caught by one such jerk for TWO HOURS! I actually find this just hilarious...do these kids have nothing better to do? I guess so....http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

I remember the TTF race! I think you were on the winning team, congratulations on that one. Too bad we lost the prize money for all that to the FSODers waiting on us in the lobby. I reported them both, even the lacky that was egging him on, and thankfully I've not seen them on anymore. Maybe Sega did something? Woo hoo.

The majority of top cheaters in PSO are actually European.

Kittykat
03-24-2005, 04:26 PM
i agree on that. Im european, and most of the people i use to play with cheated, but only in level and weapons. If we go back to the fact who fsod the most?..........sorry but i have to say US

Yes, but damaging cheaters?

Those European Cheaters tend to hack US PSO copies. It's easier last I heard. The JP and EU(PAL) Versions were much more difficult to manipulate.

That's pretty likely actually.. I'm disgraced. Ochre's right though, there are a lot of nice people still playing, you just have to know where to look.

Well I would love to know where or who you heard that from the EU version of the game is just as easy to manipulate as the US game and it not that its easy its that people want all the harmfull codes and for the US copy of the game their very easy to come by.

Just quit PSO GC before you waste anymore of your time.

ST doesn't care nor have they ever cared enough about the players to actually force people to stop cheating.

Life goes on..

oke, small question of a person who hasnt been onlne for a while........during the time i was online with the dc, you could get banned for shit like this.........has that changed?

Generally yes, but we don't really have anyway of checking, unless you're bilingual or a PSO JP player.

Unfortunatly, I think you're basicly right. I think Europeans cheat a lot too though, I have no idea.

I heard Revan on one of his ego trips and he said something like, "Yeah, I'm going to go on episode 1 and 2 so I can nuke out the JP lobbies" I shit annoys me. :/

And he also told me he was going to corrupt me. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif But that was after I kept yelling out Y HELO THAR REVAN!! BUTTSECKZ. >_____>
