online corruption

I was wondering about this for a while. My HUcast entered a block and when I got there, I started to reload back & forth in the lobby and couldn't escape. All the sudden I was disconnected and a screen showed up that I need to make a new guild/characters files. I thought corruption occurs during FSOD while saving or Turn off the power during saving. I know I can always reset or turn off the power, but I need more info so I can be more cautious next time. Can someone tell me why is this happening?

if it's not too late, you can try the sticky in tech for a chance of saving your chars..
otherwise, avoid crowded blocks, US crowded blocks

Sacred one, I believe you've been caught up into a lobby corruption code. Someone was there using a cheat device of an Action Replay (AR) with that code to corrupt players.
