I know this isn't the correct place to ask this, but will you still think it to be just as fun with Doom 3(XBOX) coming out tomorrowtoday(April 4)?

I'm seriously considering running out to buy an XBOX system solely for this game. I heard how you praised Chaos Theory over in General, GreyPhantasm, and that could be another reason for me to pick up an XBOX. I haven't played one mission of any Splinter Cell yet, but spent some nice time with Ghost Recon(1st one) co-op. I don't have an XBOX yet, this game(Doom 3) looks pretty sweet, and the other XBOX games don't much appeal to me(thus I never purchased the 9 lb+ console yet). Co-op sound damn fun to say the least, and I'm a sucker for the "crap your pants" genre of games, meaning cheap thrills that make you jump-horror movie style. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_yes.gif

XBOX may be in decline after this, but I'm tempted, even with Microsoft's new system apparently coming soon enough(Fall 2005, last I read).

Also 98 percentile is a majority, I hardly consider myself a majority of anything around here(posting wise-I hardly say normal/commonplace things or reply posts), or in my everyday life. I can fix it for you but you have to give me a valid reason why that stands out among the entire (long ass for FKL)post. Yes, the Co-Op is great, but you definitely want to play it with pretty much people you know...I've had the misfortune of having teammates who mindlessly round corners, only to be blown back against the wall screaming "OH MAN....I THINK I'M BLEEDING..."

=D But I'd play with you if you got it. Doom 3 doesn't really appeal to me, seeing as how I've had enough of my typical Shooters for a while, but there are some other good games coming down the road that you can look forward to as well.

The aspect of pitch darkness, alongside a buddy(in either Splinter Cell sequels or Doom 3) is intruiging to me.

Who wouldn't want to have one guy hold the flashlight, the other the guns, and have a mighty fine scare in the spaceship areas of Doom 3?

As a FPS it isn't said to hold much of its own. Nothing realy new in innovation or weaponry(say like Project Snowblind, very ambitious, maybe too ambitious for its own good!), but the co-op with flashlights in the dark, and a longer campaign than regular run and gun FPS games by far- can push me to purchase it and be happy with it.

Regardless, I'm not very good at FPS' anyway(Hate Halo, as I "suck" badly at it). I would have a lot of fun in that co-op though. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Yeah, Phantom Dust is a purchase I'm condering as well if I get that 9 lb Box-of-X. Also Fable, as I see it in an ad this week for sale at $20, which may mean it should be put on the greatest hits/Platinum Xbox $20 collection soon enough.

Well I've spent $20 on worse games, and I watched my lil bro play some Fable last night. I was asking a lot of questions and he was asking me questions, even though I've never seen or played the game before. Hehe, well the people I play with call me "The Beast" because I don't really need a teammate to win.<_<; Of course, I've only really played with 8 or so of my friends and would probably get my ass kicked by anyone else, but yeah...

..yea, Fable IS really fun, but the different choices you can make really don't matter except for Good or Evil(which doesn't seem to matter either, except for Appearance and how people perceive you). You can get 2, maybe 3 runs through the game completed without being bored if you're lucky...of course, I don't play much anything that isn't on XBl anymore.
