Any news about PSO Xbox out there?

I saw the PSO Xbox Forest 1 screenshots and what not, but how come SonicTeam seems to be keeping this version so hush hush? People have also told me that the Xbox version won't be PSO Episodes 1 and 2 but just PSOv2... Can people tell me some info reguarding PSO Xbox?

-The game will contain at least Forest 1 and 2.
-The game will be released with XBOX Live in all three global areas, and be on the Live servers.
-The Japanese may be forced to pay money to Sonic Team and Microsoft to play online, but, thus far, Americans only have to pay Microsoft the $50/1 year, and $10/month after that.

...yep, that's about it. Sonic Team calls it "PSO: Working Title", Microsoft calls it "PSO2", and Sega calls it anything from "PSO" to "PSO: Episode I and II".

Personally, I believe that there is virtually no chance that it will be PSOv2. But with what info we have, it's impossible to draw a concrete conclusion.

It's most certainly not a all-out sequel. Mamak has reported that Sonic Team will begin work on the true sequel to PSO after XBOX Live launches. The sequel will be on the XBOX and use the HDD capibilities to the fullest extent.

So, really, the most us XBOXers can hope for is a port of "Ep I and II"

Basically nothing else from what we were told last month is what we know about the XBox version is what we know know.

As for PSO2, we all know PSO is like Diablo. I wonder if they would take the full sequel to be like Diablo II with multiple towns, different connected areas, etc?

It isn't free with XBL btw only in Japan... and MS is doing that so that Japanese are attracted to Xbox and Xbox Live. Us Americans will have to buy it though.. so thats why I think it may be Episodes 1 and 2.

Episode 2 is exclusive to the Gamecube, sorry Xboxers... This will be v.2 for the Xbox, but hey its free... for the japs anyway becouse the americans get some other game, a racing game that I've heard aint that good.

And Episode 2 is a sequel to PSOv1&v2, its just that they include the previous games too.

The Japanese get a simple port of PSOv2 free with XBOX Live, and us Americans get Revolt. The final product, though, isn't PSOv2, as Sonic Team currently calls it "PSO: Working Title" instead of PSOv2, and Microsoft has called it "PSO2", WITH the approval of Yuji Naka.

IMHO, the Japanese will get PSOv2 for free, but will be offered Episode II seperatly. Americans, on the other hand, will have to buy the complete package all at once.

Ok, if you check alot of Segas PSOE1&2 movies in the beginning there are white text on black background and there it says something like "Episode 2 is a full new exclusive adventure for the Nintendo Gamecube".
And here, http://e3.sega.com/gcn_game_pso.html , it says "Episode I delivers all the action from PSO Ver.2, while Episode II offers an exclusive new full-length adventure."

Besides they have not released any info on it except a few pictures and voice chat. Noone here knows the truth about it yet. Sonic Team's played that "exclusive" game before. Remember Sonic Adventure 2? It *was* billed as being "Dreamcast exclusive"...heck, just look at the back of the instructions of PSOv1. Sonic Team's idea of "exclusive" isn't that a game will stay on one console forever.

GCN PSO launches in early September. XBOX PSO launches in November, by the best guesses. Hey! Guess what? Episode II *will* be a GCN exclusive for a couple of months!

Nope, it was still being billed as an exclusive, even after Sega announced the foreseeable end of the DC. "Exclusive" doesn't mean that a game will stay on one console forever. When Episode II goes to the XBOX, it would have been a GCN exclusive for a few months.

Hmm yea SA2 came out right before Dreamcast died, and I don't remeber Sega saying it was exclusive to Dreamcast... Sure it may have been common since, seeing that DC was their system, but they made it for GC soon as DC died... It's a great game and Sega wants some $$$ from it.
