quick important question

Does carrying duped items or stacked items disable rare drops? (i'm not on plus). Ever since i started carrying them around I haven't found a single rare item. On GC the only rare item i have is a DB's Saber that I believe i've had since before I started carrying stacked items.

As far as I know, that's a plus thing only. I'm fairly sure I've carried a dupe around before at least once and found still had rares drop. Dunno about stacked items.

the game cant tell if an item is a dupe or not.
but the plus ver sure can tell if the item got altered outside the internal limits (hacked mag with more levels than allowed etc).

Online and in Plus, stacked items and hacked mags both kill drop rates. When online it doesn't matter if anybody is using Plus, drop rates are killed. Also, even if the items are sold/dropped/deposited/etc. the drops will stay killed for the remainder of the game, even if the offender leaves the game.

well it might be just my luck, but ever since I started carrying stacked items (which has been for over a week) I haven't found a single rare item on GC or Xbox. I've piped for Heart of Poumn and haven't got that after 2 love rappies. It just kind of bothers me...

oooooooooook. I think it does disable the droprate on offline EP1&2. I just killed a hildeblue, and 2 Al Rappies with my whitill HUney on Vhard. Their drop rates are all 87.5%...not a single rare. Not to mention i haven't found a rare in forever. I got rid of all my stacked items before killing the Hildeblue. I have 1 duped item...i think it's an Elf/Arm(lol) that i had equiped when i killed the hildeblue. I also have 99 PDs(stack duped) and Materials that are duped in my bank. Which one of these are affecting the drops...the Stacked items or the dupes? I really must know...it's pissing me off. I'm at the point where I'm gonna get rid of almost everything

Am pretty sure that duped items don't affect the drop rates on Ep 1&2 offline (or online for that matter) as the game has no way of knowing whether or not the item was cloned or not. As stacked items are somewhat outside the game parameters (x99 as supposed to x10), I would imagine that it's either this causing the lackage of rares or just plain bad luck. I've been known to go for weeks without seeing as much as an L&K Combat and all my items are legit.

Give it a while longer and if you still don't see any reds, ditch the stacks.

Am not going to ask why anyone would want to dupe an Elf/Arm... ; )

I suppose I should reiterate, stacking kills drop rates. As in, no rares. Photon Drops will still happen since they are tools, not rares.
