OMG secret character!!! http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif To challenge him, the password is 306 781 1579. I was just messing with it then... wow. The Legendary Mr. Dream. Like... wtf?

***SPOILER WARNING*** To defeat him, you ***LAST WARNING!!!*** just do how you defeat Mike Tyson.

Ahem. The password above is a phony. You see, in Animal Crossing as some of you may not know, there's a NES game of Punch-Out. Instead of Mike Tyson being the last one, for some reason Nintendo changed it to him, The Legendary Mr. Dream. Just thought he is pretty cool, being from Dreamland and all. But I haven't seen Mike Tyson in the original version myself, I sucked too much to reach him at the time back then.

Between Mike Tyson and Mr. Dream, who do you think is teh winner? http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

I bought the game for a dime at a garage sell.

Sold it for 5 bucks to McVans Video Games.

Then I learned how much it was really worth.

Man, I got screwed out of money. -.-

There were two cartridges for the NES too. The original Mike Tyson's Punch-Out! and then Punch-Out!

Mike Tyson's was the original, of course. But Nintendo made Punch-Out! after Mike Tyson went to court or whatever over rape. It was either rape or assault, anyhow..

Mr. Dream is just Mike Tyson changed to be white. He fights exactly the same way as Tyson did in the original cartridge and is defeated the same way.

So, just to clear up, this change wasn't just done in Animal Crossing. You can find the NES ROM of both the versions of Punch-Out! to verify this.

Oh yeah. and I'm sure Mike Tyson would win just because he fights dirty.

Yeah, like I thought. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif Being defeated the same way? I knew that. That I had put in the spoiler. Oops. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

Yeah, in the first round he can KO in one punch. That can make sense considering he's from Dreamland. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Interesting. I could never beat Punch-Out, so I don't remember which version I had. Dunno what happened to it.

This is (slightly) off-topic, but oddly enough, I was just listening to this before I ran into this thread:
http://www.ocremix.org/songs/Punchout_Little_Macs_Confession_OC_ReMix.mp3

Both make me want to go back and try and find the game again. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

And yeah, Mike Tyson would win either way. He fights too dirty to lose. Although sometimes the CPU can fight dirty too. Hmm...difficult choice. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Well, if you saw Mike Tyson's ugly mug on the title screen, you had the Mike Tyson version. =P

Yeah, I didn't know that there was the actual game cartridge with Mr. Dream in it. O.o

Just looked it up, this is the Mr. Dream version on the game box.

That's just it...I was too young at the time to care about the box. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

The Mike Tyson version is worth money?

Wish I knew where all my NES games are.

My friend and I used to play the Mike Tyson version of Punch Out all the time. We were both about 8-10 years old and made it to Mike Tyson a couple of times. He was insanely hard, and we could never beat him. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif But anyways, it's one of my favorite NES games.
