GC: Harmless FSOD rarely

Most of the time when people has tons of items, weapons or meseta on them and get FSOD, they lose everything except the equip items. I got FSOD several times, but this time I didn't lose anything. Was luck on my side or what?

Depends... You might have done a soft reset and that your items were saved right before the FSOD or something... It's not rare though. I've Survived FSOD's and BSOD's. Mostly though I'll have protective codes that will protect my items...

Although I will admit I do deserve the FSOD and BSOD to happen to me because I'm a "bad" "player" with hacking... There was one case where I really didn't deserve it... Believe or not I played with a legit character because I enjoy the game with both hacking and with legitimacy. With two separate characters of coarse!

Well on one of my cave runs I got a demo-comet from a red slime which was my second one. I had one that was equipped and one in my inventory. While I was fighting Del Rol Le I was switching from a Red Hand Gun and Switching in Arm units for God/Powers to enable me to use the Red Hand Gun. Well...

Right before I killed it I had the Red Hand gun equipped which left my 2 Demo-Comets, 2 God/Powers, other rare finds (don't remember), and Resist/Frozen Unit all unequipped & vulnerable.

When that DAMN worm splashed into the water in the death cut scene, the game froze/shaking while making a constant noise!!! I was like OMFG NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

I turned the game off and was trying to figure out how in THE FU*#ING HELL DID THAT HAPPEN!? DIVINE INTERVENTION PUNISHING A HACKER!?

As fast as I can I load my character and check my inventory while praying for my items to be spared... The 2 Demo-Comets, 2 God/Powers, other rare finds (don't remember), and Resist/Frozen Unit are all gone...... ...All I remember is that the controller went flying... My poor Legit character lost items to a very, VERY RARE GLITCH/FSOD!!!

Although in a sense I'm gratefull because it could have been worse... I did lose a level 100 character from a NOler on the DC once... ST didn't serve justice so that's when I became a hacker and hunted NOLers, PKers, and Bad Hackers down...

You likely didn't lose anything but your meseta because you hadn't joined a game yet online. If you get FSOD before joining a game, you often, or perhaps never, will lose anything besides your meseta, even the stuff that's unequiped.

I really don't care about getting FSODed (Unless I happen to be saving because as you know, that causes corruption) because I never have more then one rare weapon and/or rare iteam on me at any giving time while I'm online. I don't mind if I lose my Trifluids and stuff either cause obviously, they can be bought back. Same with money. Big deal, I'll get more.

If anything, being FOSDed is just an inconvenience to me. It's pretty annoying when you can't pass through a lobby without some jerk FOSDing you for no reason.
