A Gamecube. And PSO GC. The new features and so forth. I hope this all brings back my love of video games, because for the past few months I haven't given a sh!t about ANY games (except CS). Maybe it's because I've been working my ass off and doing other things to bother to care about buying one. Money isn't an obstacle anymore; I guess it's just me.
I remember I could play games (especially PSO/excluding CS) for HOURS on hours. Yeah, my HL wore out in January, but I stopped playing before it ran out. I guess I found other stuff to put my time into...also the DC was dead, so that REALLY killed my spirit there...what with thinking of how I could buying a new system and all...I was quite broke then...
But now I can pick up a GC damn near anytime I feel to http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif And I will... in about two weeks... hopefully I'll get halfway back childhood addiction... anyone care to name me any games that are worth my while?
Yeah, I'm ramblin' a lil', but f*ck it... I wanted to say this!!!

Super Smash bros melee, resident evil, Star wars rouge squad 2, eternal darkness 2...the list could go on and on. Just don't forget to get pso when it comes out. ~_^

hey dude, your situation seems very familiar to mine. i only renewed my HL once for v2 and even then i mostly just chatted in the lobby. after that my interest in PSO finally died and i went nuts and bought a load of PS2 games, which kept me busy for a while. then i bought an Xbox, Halo and JSRF. after i beat halo and got to chapter 5 in JSRF i stopped playing games period. i had no desire to sit down and play anymore. i guess i was just always busy with work/school, or too tired to stay focused for games.
previously, i had no intent to purchase GC PSO. i was tired of the gameplay and all that stuff we've heard before, and at that point only the jungle and beach levels had been revealed, alongside the 3 new characters whom i didnt really care for. but then i realized i got tired of PSO because i had all the rares in my bank that i wanted. cheating made the game boring. this realization, plus the further announcements of even more levels into Ep.2, made me come to the decision that it was finally time to get a gamecube, and PSO would be the first game i would get with it.
other games i plan to purchase:
-Resident Evil
-Super Monkey Ball
-Super Mario Sunshine
btw, i dont post here much, im mainly an "ign" guy, if anything. but, if you're importing, haterade, hopefully i'll run into you on the servers come september. take it easy until then.
peace.

Mrawr, I don't know about your game tastes, but nothing catches my eye on GCN other than PSO =-_-=. I shoplited bought sonic adventure 2, but that was so I wouldn't just have a cube rectangular prism of plastic next to my computer.

Eternal Darkness and Resident Evil are really good. Monkey Ball is fun too if you have the patience for it. (I personally do not). Mario Sunshine is an obvious winner. But lets not forget Metroid Prime and Zelda are coming too.

If you feel like importing...
I like capcom v snk 2 eo. A fun game with lots of characters. You can pick it up, play it, and then put it back down.
I, however am rather partial to games that are pretty shallow. (Hence PSO - play for 5 minutes, or 5 hours).

Hi there Haterade... I own a GC and have quite a few games for it... Here's some I recommend:
1. Super Smash Bros. (Hella Fun when you get 4 ppl together)
2. Eternal Darkness (Ferrreeeekaayyy)
3. Resident Evil (Man this game is so pretty)
Side Note: You may be wondering why Rogue Leader isn't on my list... Well mainly because I got bored of it in about 5 minutes. It's mainly just a showpiece for when I want to show off my ultra clear component video picture. Rent it first.

Pikmin is fun...for a bit...but I never got into it. I'd say that's a renter.
For GC games, you have to buy Resident Evil! My god! This game gave me nightmares!
And Super Smash Bros. Melee is a deffenit one. It's clearly the best multiplayer game on GC.
If by chase you want to get Super Mopnkey Ball, just wait till Super Monkey Ball 2 (hehe...two monkey balls)
Wow...I have all this to say, and I don't even own a Gamecube! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
Yeah all the ones I was going to say have already been said.

It seems like everyone hates SA2 except me, well I didn't get it on DC so maybe that's why I liked it more on the 'Cube, it was probably stuff you guys already played on your DC's. Anyways, SA2:Battle is a pretty fun game, the multiplayer is ok, I just hate it when you have to play the ghey Knuckles/Rouge scavenger hunt levels.

I'm the same. Ever since my 10-month PSO marathon, playing other games that aren't PSO just feels a bit weird (maybe it spoiled me). I'm really picky now about what and when I play games, and I never used to be like that with my N64/DC.
I got Eternal Darkness, but there's something about it I find quite boring. I might keep playing, but I'm unsure.
I got Rogue Leader (which I hate) and haven't touched it in months.
I also got Resident Evil which is pretty, but I just got so frustrated with the controls and eventually just got too bored with the thing (haven't played since gettin' eaten by the big shark).
Then there's Super Monkey Ball, which is way too hard in one-player (stuck on EX7) but I like the Monkey bowling, Monkey target and especially the Monkey golf mini-games (which make excellent party games with a couple of friends).
I sold my PS2 when MGS2 and GT3 turned out to be so dissapointing, and games like FFX and GTA3 don't interest me.
Hopefully PSO GC will keep me occupied for a long time. I'm importing so I don't have to put up with the cheating straight away, and see what it's like when the rare weapons are *gasp* rare, which will mean the game will prove more of a challenge, hopefully.

Well summer time is always a really slow time for video games.
September is when it starts to get in gear.
