As of 2005 May 11

The next Vandenberg AFB missile launch is a Delta II
early on the morning of May 13. The rocket is
scheduled to lift-off at the start of a launch
window that extends from 03:22 to 03:32 PDT (10:22 to 10:32 UTC).
The vehicle will place the NOAA-N environmental
satellite into a near-polar orbit.

Just to give you an idea of whether or not it will be visible in a fairly blackened sky...

Fire... heh heh.

Type this into good ol' Yahoo Maps so that you know which way to look:
Vandenberg Air Force Base, Vandenberg, CA

And just because I feel like it:

Yeah, I had one yesterday morning. It sucks...

I don't think I've been to these boards since the big "Lag Out" a few months back (January, I believe?)

Dammit, I couldn't see anything. Still, I'm pretty sure I was hearing something out of the ordinary... say, oh, I dunno, 9 solid rocket boosters. Pretty constant sound for 30 seconds, but I couldn't even see an actual black sky in the direction that the sound was coming from. Stupid, bastard lights... usuk!
