I want to hug the Link for not using freaking satin. The Zelda is fine, satin's a reasonable fabric for a princess's dress.

Too many cosplayers pick entirely unsuitable fabrics. X_x;

Though the one that makes me go "WTF" the most is the apparent Japanese trend of making PSO costumes entirely of vinyl. Including Force robes. Der... WTF? Jesus, satin would be better for once. X_x;

When I get around to getting mom out of the house long enough for me to work on making the robe for my Lutz costume(Goddamn it, I'm MAKING a halloween costume this year! I'm tired of either doing nothing or dressing as a hippie!), I'm using fucking normal cotton fabric. Which will not be shiny. And will obviously not be satin. I suppose you could actually justify something fancy like satin or even velvet for a mage-type, but who the hell would wear either living in a freaking cave on a desert planet? >_>; Though I suppose they'd work for PSII-era Lutz. Heavy fabrics aren't an issue on an ice planet. XD; Nor is practicality when you spend most of your time frozen and the rest sitting around. >_>;

But yes. Fabric choice can make or break cosplay. I've seen way too many otherwise great costumes ruined by bizzare fabric choices(Satin for a school uniform? WTF? O_o;).
