I try to play it now, and I suck anus. Normal:Sims kick my ass, it isn't funny. But I don't care, I still love the game and the atmosphere it presents. <3

There are fews things as great as zooming through several walls on manual only to find an iridescent body pointing a farsight right at you. You just had that great moment of realization: "Oh sh.." BLAM!

Heh. My brother and I loved playing Complex with Laptop Guns and Farsights. We would climb up on top of the stage and plant two turrets, then snipe everybody with the Farsights.

Screw you guys, it was fun.

ok lol ted, and Farsight rules, yeah its real cheap and not to mention a ripoff of the railgun in that one Arnold Schwarzenegger movie...I forget the name, but yeah laptops and farsights...but also those freakin slayer rocket launchers!!! fly by wire rockets are so awesome, I love to see my friends faces when they see I have them in sight, they're just like "OOhh Shiiiit!!!" and then I get to chase them through most of the level untill I get bored and press Z just in time to hear that wonderful BOOM! followed by half a red screen and my friend punching me in the arm cuz he got owned by a rocket lodged in his eyesocket!

Another thing I always enjoyed was playing with crossbows, tranquilizers, and throwing knives on the level with all the walkways over the abyss. People would get so drugged that they would wander across a walkway and then just tumble over the side.

a few nights ago i was so drugged up on sleeping pills that i got my head caught in my shirt and felloover.
It's more fun that way. >_>
I still think the stacks in Goldeneye was a level i wish they had in PD, i loved it.

The thing I love most about this game, it cost me over $100 when I was only 14 years old.

Pre-ordering it at Toys R Us, they told me I couldn't reserve it becuase of the M rating. Heh, the game hardly deserves an M rating. Swearing? Practically non-existant, violence? not much of a step up from Goldeneye. My brother stepped in, who was only 16 at the time, and they allowed him(and his friend who was 16) to reserve it. Without carding or anything. They sure got that one right. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif Thanks Toys R Us!

The game was damn near unplayable without the Ram cart expansion. You couldn't even play 1 Player solo. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_rant.gif

The game was $60, and I had to pick up that damn 4 Meg expansion Ram for $30+, add tax and there you go.

A year or two later I saw it being sold for $9.99. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_argh.gif

But yes, I must concede, it is a fantastic game.
hours of entertainment.

Eh, probably the swearing and blood on the levels, not to mention the fact you could shoot someone in the face with a sniper rifle and the bullet would actually break their neck and force their head behind their back.

Probably something to do with that.

I'm 100% sure that the Toys R Us cashiers didn't care about that, or even know of it.

I had played much more violent games than Perfect Dark, before purchasing it though. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif I hardly blinked at the swearing or neck breaking(which I don't much remember at all from that game, honest.)

They were just following the rules by seeing me as not old enough, then breaking them by allowing two other not old enough kids to buy it. Upon the pick up of my pre-order, they asked for no ID.

See how unfunny the realization of the situation is, when examined in full detail?

I found the box as soon as I posted here, I picked it up on release day- 5/23/00 Woah! http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

Well... it's not necessarily that that cashiers knew what was in the game, Outrider was just explaining the M rating that was on it. As for the part about the other group being able to get it, meh... that sort of stuff happens.

When I was attending Digipen, there was a tour that you could take that ended with the Nintendo store... had the game there for a dollar, but that was a while back ago... and I already had the game, so eh.

Or the occasional game with the empty slots full of easy type sims and N-Bombs only. Go N-Bombs.

I understand that. The Mature labels didn't have 17+ as they do now, so they did have to be overly cautious and I don't find fault with them for limiting me the game, albeit for only 30 seconds.

But as Conan O' Brien casually admits sometimes on TV, "Why would I make this up?! I would be wasting everyone's time!"

Sold for $1 due to overstock(or something)? O_O! Wow.

I liked pistol series set ups in the sewer levels with bots(higher difficulties).

Dual weild magnums, low power pistols = amazing fun time, for me at least.

I hate the types who play with automatics weapons and one hit kills(in Golden Eye/Perfect Dark/Timesplitters). There's like no skill involved, and I get called a n00b for wanting different rules or pausing to change the controls. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_cry.gif

And holy crap, you attended Digipen?! http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif
