Hmm... I never had the chance to play any NES games when I was younger. I recently went back and played some of the megaman games and was really suprised with what they were able to do with such primitive sound emulation for the time.

Though in that respect PC games also had some pretty decent music in the late 80s early 90s. Thinking mainly of composers such as george sanger who got a lot out of midi for the Wing Commander and I believe some of the Ultima games at that time.

Midi is awesome.

How odd, I was playing the MegaMan Anniversary Edition yesterday and was listening to the opening music, and was just like "...aahhh..nostalgia."

Then I went and beat some maverick ass. >=

I never did play those games, but with names like Flashman and Hardman, I think I'm a bit glad I didn't.

Man, Megaman could kick Sam Fisher's ass with one hand tied behind his back.

So long as it wasn't the hand with the arm cannon.

They weren't Mavericks in MegaMan. They were Robot Masters. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif
