View Full Version : Crashing my browser?

I'm wondering if there's some advertisement on the site that makes my browser crash. It happens every so often, so I'd guess it's from an ad in the rotation that is displayed sometimes.

I'm using IE 6 on Windows XP, and it has been updated pretty regularly.

I suppose it could just be MY browser's response to the ad, and there's nothing you can do about it. But just wondering if this happens to anyone else.

Some of the Flash advertisements have been known to do this. I remember someone having problems with the Casino On Net ones.

Well, I see some casino ads in flash, so there may be one of the Casino Net ads that does it.

And I saw the option to turn off Flash on the board, but it doesn't affect the ads, apparently.

Since we are on gamespy servers, the ads have to be there to keep our site free. And no they cannot be turned off. I'm sorry but that's the way it is. Wish I could help.

Yeah, I understand the need for the ads.

I just wish that whichever ad it was wouldn't cause problems like that. Or the problem could be remedied if someone knew which ad it was.
