What exactly stops you from finding rares

ok, ive heard alot about hacking stops you from finding rares, and i have recently gone legit. So what affects that ability? I know mags do, but what else, duped items? 99 of one item? ???

hacked mags only affect drop rates if you, or someone in your game has PSO plus. I think using hacked weapons affects it, but I'm not 100% on that, and stacking *making 99 of an item* affects it only if you made a game, or if someone else who does it makes a game. if the person who made the game doesn't stack, then you can find rares. there may be other stuff, but I'm not sure.

i wish they would make more things you could get with photon drops because those are basicaly pointless

Also, isn't it that if you do stack, but either deposit/sell/drop them all, then restart (turn your gamecube off), then you'll start getting rares again?

I just want to make sure that my 99 Tri/Di Mate/Fluid I have in my bank for FSOD backup won't affect my Sange runs.

The info in that thread pertains to stacks as well. Basically the answer to your question is yes, if you deposit/sell/drop them and restart the game (turning the GC off and back on) you will be able to find rares again.

I'm very curious who makes the cheats, is it the creators of the game, is it hackers, or does it vary from different games?? (Although I know a few games that the producers purposely made cheats for the game.)

For PSO, I highly doubt that the creators of the game (Sonic Team) wanted people to be running around with Tsumikiri J-Swords at level 1. So, I'd say the hackers did it.

I agree (oh, and thanks) with that. Sonic Team works pretty hard on the PSO series and for them to make cheat codes for the games would be kinda' like throwing away all that hard work put into the game(s).

i think it's also applicable to ep1+2
plus & online are confirmed, hack & stack = no drop

i think i like this rare drop feature on v3 that ST implemented
if some parameters fall out off given legimate range, like mag above lv200, rare drop rates is virtually 0
