I copied this from Gamefaq's Message Board:

No problem, I've backed up my character several times. It could also give rise to item duping online. I use a Nexus so I'll detail how I backup my char.

Required tools:
Nexus 4 meg VMU, Dclinker v. x.x, DC, PSO, DC controller.

1) Download the software from www.hkems.com
2) Load up app, and switch to page your char is on.
3) Copy the sys data and your guild card from the VMU to your HD.
4) Switch pages
5) Copy sys data and your guild card from your HD to the VMU.

With the sys data copied you can easily save games without using your computer.

First load up your character normally, then after it has been loaded up switch pages (on the Nexus), and ''Quit Game''. It will then save an almost identical copy (except time) to your vmu.

To item duplicate:

You'll need a friend to help you.

1)Get the item you want multiple copies of, save to 2 or more different pages on your Nexus.
2) Go online, make sure your friend is there.
3) Drop the item you want to duplicate
4) Get friend to pick up item
5) You ''Quit Game''.
6) Switch pages
7) Go back online, and get friend to drop the item. You pick it up.

Now you'll have two exact copies of your 10 star item.. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

Hmm good idea but one problem, do you have a suggestion on how to do that with the saves on a rumble pack memory card (200 blocks), and another thing, is that dclinker software compaitble with win2000 ? I spent 2 hours just trying to get it too work ...

I really don't have an answer to that because I don't have one of the devices. I was just wondering if what that person posted was true.

Oops, I just submitted this as news. Sorry, jruizleon. I wasn't trying to steal your thunder or anything. Just thought it was something useful for everybody.

For everyone that have to read that same information again, my apology.

Hey all,

This is my post... I still haven't confirmed if it works online... But I assume it would.

I have personally verfied this backup method to work.

Also, I don't know if the DClinker works w/ win2k. What problems are you encountering?
