FO, every time I see your art, I am impressed at your linework, colors, etc.

How is it you improve so quickly?

I think you're skill has improved more in the past year than my art has in five.

Thanks o:

It's strange how I improve, I don't draw half as much as I used to. I'm still finding my style, actually; but I think of settled with this one. D:

I'm told often that I improve quickly, but I really don't know what I'm doing right, frankly. xD A lot of it comes from looking at artwork/artists I like and *ahem* incorporating their techniques into my own art. Though, I don't know if that's working for me or not. >_>..

Have you been taking classes or anything?

See, I just think your art has been getting cleaner and prettier as time has gone by. I almost feel that your characters look like they're done by professional manga or anime artists at times.

I don't really think there's anything wrong with incorporating techniques from other artists - it's when you start copying a style completely that you might be unhappy. For a year or two, I basically started emulating Akira Toriyama's style in its entirety, and it wasn't as satisfying as simply doing my own thing and using bits and pieces of other artists from time to time.

Nope. o: It's odd how I've learned pretty much all of my knowledge of art from using and experimenting with oekaki. I think I'm addicted. xD

Yus, I agree. : P Copying art or an art style has always been so awkward; it feels a lot more natural just drawing from my mind, ya know? o:
