I love this. Had a guy come up to me today and asked "Is God of War out yet?". I said "Its not out yet, I'll check the planner" which he swore at. I checked it.

"Its not out till this Friday" I said.

"FOR FUCKS SAKE! YOU'VE PUT IT BACK AGAIN!" he yells at me then storms off, barging past a load of people.

Yes Great Britain, it was I, Deathscythealpha, who delayed the launch of God of War! Tremble before me mortals and beg for your games! Any more lip from you, and I will be repeating this heinous act with Zelda and the Xbox360! Mwahahahaha!

Ah, my vile act of Indefinate Hold on Bloodrayne 2 has be unveiled! But the sicker twist is how I will allow the stinging sin of the movie to be released! Mwahahaha!

Why can't these freaks and geeks wait?!
First day whores. They're bound to make plenty of copies available to go around(especially if the game is soo hyped/good).

Also why not wait a few months for price drops, or even later for greatest hits prices(gasp!) a brilliant idea don't you think?

Err, I don't think I could ever handle those super hardcore gamers who pick things up release day, then come back during the same week and complain how the game was too short/easy/sucked like hell/etc.

They get a line of friends hyped for release dates as well and more casual gamers onto the same crap and thus fanboyism runs amok, in your local gaming store. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_mad.gif

I do think however that the biggest hyped games, never fall through the cracks in terms of volume. God of War isn't going to be the next fantastic RPG to make only a few copies to go around upon launch, then turn out to be great/rare and eBay bound. It will most likely be the GT3 of Sony being milked years past its release date.
