My local skatepark shut down today because the council didn't like it (or something stupid like that) so i thought i'd post this just to rant about it and use it as a stupid post that i can post on for no reason whatsoever...*sob*

Goddammit...why is it that government officials or some kind of political rats always think that Skateboarders are the number one Scapegoats? you all should protest cuz thats just wrong. Plus they cant just close it if they dont like it. There has to be a real logical reason.

I'm not exactly sure why it's closing but i know it's to do with the council. And yes i'm way ahead of you on complaing. On it's final day open after the funnyest Blading final ever we all went to the mini ramp for awards and spoke about writing to the council to re-open the park. There is no chance of keeping the 1 we have now and a new park looks out of reach..

They're building a skatepark across from a high school and a grade school as well in my city.

A waterfront skating event from a few years ago must have had some good response.

Sorry to hear your fave park is being taken away, but you should find some other skating parks/hangout spots in due time right?
