...that hourglass posting is a http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_nono.gif

If you're going to quote someone, the entire portion of it isn't always needed, just the last part is. Therefore, please cut out the parts(example like the starting poster and next one down) that aren't necessarily needed.

Its become second nature to me, as I did the hourglass posting in the past as well and was appalled at what it caused the forums to do(stretch beyond belief).

Laziness should not be tolerated here.

Another http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_nono.gif :
Quoting a large image/picture right after it was posted. Just take out the ["img"] tags.

Why am I doing this? (when to everyone else reading this, it shouldn't be a big deal?)

I'm seeing the hourglass posting happening way too much with me being either the first or second person being quoted. Then an entire page and a half are just quotes with the word *bump* added to each new post.

I feel it was my fault for starting the "snowball to roll downhill" even if it really isn't, and thus feel some sense of hesitation in posting.

I think that "hourglass posting" should be put into a sticky as well. In moderation, its fine; just don't go overboard with it making entire topics solely about it.

More of an implied courtesy rule than a direct rule, but it needs to be said, I believe.

Thanks for your time everyone, and letting me say my peace here.

You're right. (Let's make the world's biggest hourglass in this thread http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif)

Its too bad not everyone is like you and more people around here rather be like Garm. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_no.gif

Check out the thread about donuts, or just browse the first FKL page here. A lot of people are "forgetting" common sense concerning this issue.

Look a hourglass http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif
I usually remember to remove useless parts of a post and prevent hourglass posts. But because this is FKL I could care less, since this is the place to spam http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

If you see a hourglass, break it like so.

Yes, but FKL still has rules. You may not have been around the time that hourglass posting was common, and so were locked topics.

2 quote's is the max I've posted lately. None of them as long as Hayabusa's posts (No offense, but your post have the longest (average) length). That's no to long, is it? (Who invented rules? the should be a rule against rules http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif)

Make your own forum if you want that.

One full page of hourglass posting is hardly on par with one long(er) post. They don't have the same effect. People skip over long posts all the time, but its hardly easy to skip over hourglass posting since it stretches the tables.

You don't seem to understand, but you are following the rules as best you can right?

That's all we can ask. You break rules, you get moderated for breaking the rules.

Simple.

Spam forum doesn't necessarily mean "mess forum".

You'll be sick of scrolling one day. Especially when you have to scroll both down and right to read entire topics. http://pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_cry.gif

WTF is this?! An AOL chat room?
That was the worst post in existence.
You tried to make a sentence, but it ran away from you- all the way to the moon.

You honestly think someone understood that?

What "guy"? Specific.

Quoting the first post, mine, wouldn't do anything out of the ordinary. It wouldn't be an "hourglass post", so I guess you don't know what that is.

Damn, you love who- man?

What the hell am I doing.
That must have also been your worst joke in existence then, if you weren't being serious.

Rawr. Everything sucks.
